Look at the Rams! I hope we don't spend too crazy

Last year we were in aww on how much they spent to bring in players. Now it seems in the last few weeks, someone is going to be released, or allowed to seek a trade!

Wagner, Robinson, Ramsey and now Stafford.

We all want the cowboys to spend, but if it comes to us going into rebuild mode, it's not worth it all. Take your chance on one big name, and continue to hope for the best in these bottom barrel players!! Please give your thoughts

In a couple years, we're going to be in rebuild mode anyway, because we DON'T spend. Or more correctly, because we try to spend all our money on the Randy Gregorys of the NFL.

then again I don’t think anybody is necessarily asking for the cowboys to be as aggressive as the rams. The rams aggressively traded away like all their first round picks.

A lot of us just want the cowboys to be a bit more aggressive in free agency. Which I think is easier to recover from than shipping away half a decade worth of first round picks.

Spending money is not a terrible idea. Trading away picks can be shortsighted.

-Chargers spent a ton last off-season to get K Mack, the top FA corner back and others. The new players didn't move the needed and now they've put themselves in a corner
-Saints over-spent for years and now are a third-world franchise
-Rams didn't just trade away picks they spent like drunken sailor

The salary cap has very real teeth, with very real crushing force.

they went to two super bowls and won one. after going all in for 5 years. being active in free agency for one year is not the same thing
