Look at the Rams! I hope we don't spend too crazy

They’re polishing their Super Bowl trophy as we speak.
Yep, totally worth it. However they are one Aaron Donald play from losing the SB.
Also, the eagles did the all in thing this season and came up short although they didn’t give up draft picks…

Would rather be in the position that the Eagles were in than us. They’re trying to win a Super Bowl instead of try to stay relevant.

Yep for sure esp since they didn’t give up picks like the rams did. Butttt they are getting ready to have to pay the piper with half the team hitting FA and a monster qb contract to pony up.

They were in the Super Bowl and we haven’t made the NFCCG in 27 years along side great franchises as Washington and Detroit.

They have been to 4 SBs winning 2, since out last Conf final game. I would take 5 hears of hell and have one SB and repeat this process than 28 years of mediocrity

Maybe try something in between what the Rams did and signing a top FA more than every TWELVE years?

I dunno, just a thought.

There's definitely middle ground. You don't have to do what the Rams did to win but you can certainly do more than Jerry and Junior are doing.

It's sickening, I don't see how we're so relevant these days, what a joke!! You don't win, yet you're still making money as if you are
SB isnt the goal. Selling us hope for a playoff run is. And they do just that. Nothing more.

Exactamente......its by design that they do this every 5 years or so.....its better than being irrellevant for 27 years

I like the way they think
Well the smart GMs and Owners have figured out this Era of Football..

Jerry did in the 90s.....

Spending money is not a terrible idea. Trading away picks can be shortsighted.
The Rams have plenty of picks, and a SB trophy from this decade.

Last year we were in aww on how much they spent to bring in players. Now it seems in the last few weeks, someone is going to be released, or allowed to seek a trade!

Wagner, Robinson, Ramsey and now Stafford.

We all want the cowboys to spend, but if it comes to us going into rebuild mode, it's not worth it all. Take your chance on one big name, and continue to hope for the best in these bottom barrel players!! Please give your thoughts
Give me a SB trophy followed by a rebuild over what the Cowboys have been doing for the last 15 years, all day long.

Yea I don't see how anyone can say what the Cowboys have done is better than what the Rams have done.
I don't know why they continue to be used by some as a bad example of spending. We can only dream of having two Super Bowls and a title in our recent history.

Unbelievable that people would argue NOT to be like a team that just won a trophy, when their team hasn't sniffed a Super Bowl in 30+ years. Any sane person would take the Rams last 5 years in a heartbeat.

Why can't we get more
Because we don't make use of all aspects of player acquisition, and that includes high-cost outside free agents. You need to draft well, you need to make good cheap acquisitions and you need to strategically go after a few top free agents or make a few choice trades when you get the chance.

You can't strictly build through the draft because not every draft pick is going to be a top-notch starter and some players leave in free agency before you can finish. You can't just add cheap free agents to supplement the draft because few cheap FAs turn out to be more than just bottom-of-the-roster fillers. Spending what some would term "too crazy" is necessary.

What I think the Rams are a good example of is how important talent is to success. McVay has been a Super Bowl coach when given the talent. Not so great afterward. We can't get that mad at McCarthy if the team handicaps itself by not making use of one aspect of team building.

Agree 100%!

Jerry loves fans that are content to be, just a contender, once in a while.

Wrong. If it got us a Superbowl, then I wouldn't mind spending the following 10 years in mediocrity.

No Superbowl in almost 30 years is the problem. Almost 30 years "building" whatever they're trying to build with second rate QBs is the problem. Building slowly is stupid with this rep sheet.
