I’d take their approach if and when you get the right QB. If he comes from the draft then I try and build around him for a few years but if he comes in free agency or a trade with a big salary, then I go all in for two years. Then spend a year resetting which likely puts you in place for a QB in the draft. If not, go the other route again. Going all out for a Super Bowl 4-6 times every decade? Yeah, I could get on board with that!

Last year we were in aww on how much they spent to bring in players. Now it seems in the last few weeks, someone is going to be released, or allowed to seek a trade!

Wagner, Robinson, Ramsey and now Stafford.

We all want the cowboys to spend, but if it comes to us going into rebuild mode, it's not worth it all. Take your chance on one big name, and continue to hope for the best in these bottom barrel players!! Please give your thoughts
The Rams are "blowing it up" after a Super Bowl win (one year removed). Their approach was all out and a bit extreme. We have the opposite problem with an owner that wants to win through the draft. With this approach once you fix one part of the Team another part has decayed (we fixed the D for the most part and now the Offense needs surgery). Jerry and Stephen need to grow a pair.

Obviously some of you have mistaken the wild card round for the Super Bowl.

Actually I'm jealous! Wish we could blow up the team and start over, including trading Micah Parsons. Need a good 1or 2 seasons of dumping overpaid past-prime players and drafting top 5 for a change!

If you are gonna shoot your shot you better hit bullseye.
Rams got a title so can stomach a little rebuilding but it does appear they may well have to replace the hot young coaching star and most of the roster.

Wouldn't shock me if Philly is sitting here in 12 months with same issues and they didn't get to lift the trophy.
They tried though, that’s all I can ask a franchise is to try. You can’t be scared of going for it and failing because it will cause you to never go for it. Just like the Cowboys.

True that overspending can cause long-term damage but other than Ramsey, Im not sure those guys are super expensive
Stafford isn't going anywhere
Wagner and Robinson were just short-term things
Ramsey put in some years there but now they want to see what they can get, as they have so few draft picks.

Really, Rock?

So all in to win one is worse than none in and sitting at one and done in the play-offs? There are people here who actually call for blowing up this team and starting over. Does that have the same results as the Rams, without one small item difference?

The Lombardi.
Really

Yeh look at the Rams...cap strap but they have been in two superbowls 6 or 7 years..winning one SB

While Moneyball Cap boy Stephen and Dad are still saving money on splash vet players and haven't even been to an NFC title game in over 25 years. ..25 years!

We spent a decade believing in freaking Jason Garrett? we'll never see an NFL team rushing hire him as HC again.

And at least dreaded eagles were just one FG and a Jalen hurts fumble away from winning a SB...and they did win a SB with a backup qb Overbay ad belichek...

What's our sorry excuse? ..in 25 years??!!!:mad::facepalm:
