Looking at game again first 3 drives, Romo choked...

I have always cheered for Romo who came from small school, sat for a few years and learned, and then burst onto the scene in a big way. A feel good underdog story that makes everyone want to see him win.

But many have said that the Cowboys will never win the big one with Romo because "he chokes" during the big games. I didn't believe that the first few years, but now I am starting to think maybe they were right all along. He has proven the past two years that at the end of the season, when it counted the most, he has hurt this team and contributed in a big way to our embarrassing losses.

Tony does not appear to be smart enough to deal with the pressure (on and off the field). And he chokes the biggest at the end of the season...particularly in the playoffs on the road....when the pressure and stress are at the highest.

This Romo is a choker is pretty silly stuff. If you go to the playoffs and don't win your last game, then obviously your team lost and many times things didn't go so well. This has happened more than once to Manning, Warner, Favre, etc.

Down the stretch, I'd say other than the last game, Romo played very well. All of those games were big (some huge), and a few on the road--yet he didn't choke in any of them. Some of you guys need perspcective.

Seriously are you guys actually going to pay attention to Quincy Carter? This guy sounds like a penhead at my job, he says he loves the Cowboys but yet he brings his little bitty self to work and calls them ********, and then when I check him he says, you know I love the Cowboys as much as the next person.

Q, watch the game again, and DO IT without any anger in your heart, it will help you see clearer, also make an effort to understand the game

BTW, I'm looking at game again...
First drive ball on 35 1st and 10, good protection, Romo holds ball to long instead of hanging in the pocket and stepping up he gets scared, looks lost, and fumbles....

2nd possesion ball on the 40, good protection, panicks and throws ball away.. then fumble snaps, no one touches him.....then instead of going for it on 4th and 1 we try a 50 yard FG---I know it was 48 but come on 4th and 1.....

3rd possesion, 1st and goal, 1st play wildcat, stupid...2nd and goal from the 8 shotgun formation, then 3 steps drop, panicks again, all he has to do is step up to the right had a whole passing lane, but spins left and gets sack... 3rd and goal from the 14, shotgun formation, drops back panicks again, all he had to do was step up and hit crayton over middle for TD, but Romo spins left again and throws ball away......

The only reason why I bring this up because while looking at game I saw the same thing so I just had to watch the first 3 series again because that to me was the telling point of the game to me.... 3 times in scoring position, one lousy FG...

While they were getting a little pressure it was coming from containment outside and Romo kept rolling right in to it....TO me looking at game again at least the first 3 series of the game Romo looked scared and lost...

So Romo looked scared and lost???

And you could tell that by watching the game from your Lazy Boy???




Whatever dude, without Romo we are a 5 win team so think about that from the comfort of your Lazy Boy.

Aaron Rodgers dealt with the pressure just fine. He was pressured all day and the Pack still managed to score points. While the outcome was the same, the Pack stayed competitive. I'm tired of hearing that it wasn't Romo's fault.

That is a great point for all the romo apologists to SWALLOW!

If you are such a great evaluator of QBs, why the hell are you not working for an NFL team??? You are wasting all of this talent by sitting in your Lazy Boy, your skills are needed by the league!!!!

He has to deal with poor o-line play all year and I'd say that they have adjusted to it by making routes shorter, etc....The Vikings don't come with the same game-plan against every team and we don't have the same game-plan that the Packers use....so stupid point, IMO.

Rodgers looked like a HOF QB fumbling the game away in OT against the Cards. Also, on the previous play Rodgers overthrew a wide open receiver that would have won the game.

So he misses a wide open reciever for the win and the very next play he fumbles the game away, but you would take him over Romo because Romo is a choker and Rodgers is clutch.



This is why you anit-Romo guys cannot be taken seriously. You throw Romo under the bus because he "looked scared and choked" but then turn around and say you would take Rodgers over Romo and never mention one time Rodgers choking like a dog in a playoff game against Zona.

I know you have been occupaid playing Madden in your parent's basement, but there was a little game played a week ago against the Eagles called a Wildcard Playoff Game.


You probably have never seen one of these since your Madden franchise is the bomb and you have a bye week every season, but its kinda considered a "big game" around the league.

Go look up Romo's numbers in that game and get back to me, that is if you can pull yourself away from your Madden game long enough.
