Never worked as a cashier or bank teller but I have some friends who used to do that. I've heard some horror stories. A bank teller has to be one of the worst jobs because people arn't patient when it comes to their money. Seems like most of the bank tellers around me are pretty clueless anyways. They go by the book 99% of the time and never just use common sense.

When I became a commercial teller, it was a lot better.

Commercial tellers dealt with a slightly better clientele and generally not as many customers as the regular tellers.

Ask any teller and it's always rough around these days. 1, 3, 5, 15, 20, 30/31. Payday..

I HIGHLY recommend this.

For some reason people turn their nose up at temp agencies, but when I was between contracts, they found me a night job that I worked at for a year thru the agency and another year as a permanent employee.

Really? Man, we always called them humpers on the sites. It made for some great jokes and the kids always enjoyed it from what I could see.

Construction sites are hardly PC. So the world may not call them that anymore, but I bet most sites still do.

Oh heck yeah, Hos. On the construction sites it's still humper or gopher. Some take offense, especially if they were in college and just working for the summer. 'Helper' is what they wanted. Want in one hand and crap in the other, humper.


Ran into a similar gig with plumbers. Never call a plumber a plumber. Imagine that. They're 'Pipe fitters' these days. Union or not. Got a tongue lashing over that one.
