You're right when you say that Holcomb did better than Bledsoe with the same line, but Losman is virtually a rookie. Bledsoe got rid of himself because he didn't want to be a mentor to Losman. Bledsoe forced their hand. But, if Holcomb did better than Bledsoe with the same and Holcomb is a journeyman, then you understand my disenchantment with him. That's why I think it's a waste of time to build around a guy who is 34 and on the down side of his career and was outplayed by a journeyman qb. I would trade Bledsoe for Losman right now. Bledsoe is clearly better now, but in a couple of years,Losman might be pretty good, while Bledsoe will only get worse in 2 years.

well thankfully you are not making any personnel decisions at Valley Ranch then...the Bills are one of the biggest jokes of the NFL right now...they made a stupid trade to draft Losman in the first place, and the guy is a mammoth bust..not only that, he's a total jerk and most of his teammates cant stand him

Losman will never be a quality starter in the NFL

Sorry pal...didn't see where it said "Bledsoe who shattered franchise records in 2002 for buffalo"...

Back your words.

You can look through there if your concerned with what records he broke:

http://www.buffalobills.com/history/index.jsp

Bledsoe broke 10 different passing records after a stellar 2002 season in which he passed for 4359 yards. He also owns some of the patriots all time records as well.

I'm also going to predict that Bledsoe will set Dallas Cowboy single season passing records this coming season....so remember you heard it here first my man!

How many playoff appearances did he make with Buffalo?:D

How many career passing yards and td's does quincy carter have? How many superbowls has he led his team too? How many times has he carried a team on his back with a pin in his finger?

I'm still waiting on the records that Bledsoe shattered in two years of play. The article said he broke 10, but didn't list any of them. I'm not going to search the site you posted to find the information. You claimed he shattered multiple Bills' franchise records. It's your responsibility to tell us which ones.

It's not my responsibility and I'm not making things up either. Go ahead and search one of big_neil or nor's old threads....because I know this has been posted before at least several times.

I don't personally know all 10 of them, I do know that among the accolades included are:

-amount of passing yards in a season
-amount of attempts in a season
-amount of completions in a season
-highest completion in a season
-number of yards in a single game
-number of td's in a single game
-come from behind wins in a season

And all of these records were "shattered?"

A majority of them yes, Drew had some huge games with the bills in 2002...I remember two shootouts that season...one at minnesota and one at home against the raiders when he put up almost 500 yards in each game!!!

Not too mention all the other 300+ performance he had......he finished with almost 4400 yards, Jim Kelly surprisingly never came close to that....but then again their offense was similar to the cowboys of the early 90's.....run first with thurman thomas, pass 2nd.....

I tried to warn people, but they didn't listen.....when Bledsoe left Buffalo the curse of the Bledstudsoe began and that franchise will be doomed for years to come.

I just hope a similar fate never afflicts this franchise....let's hope that Drew wins a superbowl and is never cut for some unproven rookie or bust.
Looks like New England avoided that particular curse.

I have to laugh at those that claim the first year Drew was at Buffalo he did not break franchise records. That kind of stupidity is always amusing. Obviously those that make that statement are not very smart or very aware of much of anything in the NFL. There were a lot of stories the first half of the season about Drew lighting it up there. But if some want to keep denying the obvious - and listen to us laugh at them- thats fine with me.

I do agree that they should give Losman some more time. Carson Palmer took a while, and now look at him.

Difference being, Palmer sat out year 1, watched Kitna, and came in a posted a winning record as a starter his 2nd year (Cinci finnished 8-8).

Losman is drafted later 1st round, Palmer was 1st overall pick..another big difference

I think they are doing it on purpose in spite of me :D

Drew had a huge season in 2002, and yes he surpassed Jim Kelly and the K-gun's offensive records, 10 different ones.... which is amazing when you think about how great that offense was during the late 80's and early 90's:bow:

While it would be a stretch to say Bledsoe rewrote the Bills record book, he clearly set several Bills records, and indeed "shattered" some of them. To argue otherwise is simply obtuse.

Attempts/Season
Bledsoe: 610
Old record (Joe Ferguson): 508

I'd say that one was shattered.

Completions/Season
Bledsoe: 375
Old record (Jim Kelly): 304

Again, shattered

Yards/Season
Bledsoe: 4359
Old record (Kelly): 3844

Yards/Single Game
Bledsoe: 463
Ferguson: 419

Most Attempts w/o an INT in a game
Bledsoe: 49
Ferguson: 46

Most Consecutive attempts w/o INT
Bledsoe: 175
Kelly: 172

These are all in the official Buffalo Bills record book if anyone wants to check my work. There may be more but these ones were the ones I saw easily with just a cursory look. Again, not saying he lit the world on fire, but he obviously holds passing records there.

Thanks for posting that info DW....I never said he 'shattered' every one, but there were some he did.....he broke 10 total records, even as a hardcore drew fan I don't know every one of them.

No problem. If I can be frank with you, B4MVP, you border on hyperbole quite a bit (with regards to DB), and I think that hurts your case when you argue, leads people to misinterpret what you post, and gets people to question a lot of what you say, even when they may not be initially inclined to disagree with you.

I'm not sure if you do this on purpose -- to rile people up -- but you might have more success winning people over to your point of view if you took a slightly more even-keeled approach.

Not a sermon... I simply say this as a friend and a fellow Bledsoe-fan. I, too, hope Bledsoe wins an MVP while wearing the Star, makes his way into Canton due to his exploits with the Cowboys, and earns his place among the all-time great Cowboys Quarterbacks!

Dude, I had no idea. I was wrong.

Doesn't mean I'll back down on the other arguments.

But, when I'm wrong, whew I was in a big way.
