I mean even with him not really being arrested he still had a history that led to him being cut:

Girlfriends claiming abuse
Pulling up female shirts
Showing up in Mary Jane shops
Out all the time
Punching people in clubs

(Checks notes......hmmmm)

Never mind

I'm with Lucky on this one - it's one thing to be cut due to performance or just getting caught in the numbers, and another to be dropped for something you had absolutely no connection with.

Staff jumped the gun, and honestly, should apologize at the very least.

Will McClay was asked about Lucky (by Norm a few hours ago on the Ticket).

McClay said it was an "ability" cut. ...

You don't wait until day 1 of camp to cut someone because of ability especially if they are healthy and have been with you for years.

This is crap.

The organization needs to own that they goofed. Instead it appears they intend to obfuscate.

In the end, this was like cutting the water boy.

Lucky was a terrible football player. Constant dumb decisions on and off the field. Mediocre at best returner. Hands of stone. Useless except for an end around now and again, and lots of players can do that.

From Brad Sham

Dont matter if it's Brad Sham this looks bad and if this was a better player folks would be itching to high heavens about it. I'm a believer that if you stay consistent you will avoid most of this type of stuff. If they would either give everybody a fair shake or cut folks with no regards it's nothing none of us could say but this just looks bad no matter how some see it because of his talent.

It's just funny how some people will complain about unfair treatment and being equal when it's them but if it's not them it's okay it was deserved. If this doesn't fit you then I'm not talking about you at all.

Dez's comments on the matter made that pretty clear. This was a pattern with Lucky.

I'm sure they didn't believe his story here, too, but it hardly matters. You don't want your first day of camp consumed with all this nonsense over a player you expected to cut because of ability, anyway. Just cut him and move on.

I'm not holding my breath waiting for them to publicly admit their mistake.

The next time will be the first time.

Absofrickinlutely they did.

Did the guy deserve to be cut? Sure, but not for something he didn't do.

And that is absolutely what happened.
This is the only thing I've been saying from the start. Some acting like we are upet over the cut when it's just the silliness of how it all went down that is the problem.
