Different world, TD.

Jerry Jones was right in what he said yesterday.

It was a better world without social media.

And honestly, I don't blame him for feeling that way.

His teams were not choir boys and neither were Landry's teams.
But Landry got rid of guys who got in trouble: Rentzel, Septien, Duane, etc. Until now, Jerry and Jason always made excuses for keeping such guys on the roster. Big difference.

If he is innocent, I wonder if he goes to the NFLPA and files a grievance. He might claim he was cut because of the charges.

Fine...so am I the only who thinks the guy (wearing D cap) standing behind Rob Ryan looks a lot like Dak?
This game was played back in Sept 2012 at MetLife Stadium.
Who is that guy anyway....anyone know?

I disagree. He needed to get cut. If he stayed it would have sent the wrong message to the team. You can question that all you want but there was no justification for him staying. Wilson needs to go as well as Gregory. They are distractions period.
Some of y'all are too funny. Right message? Are you on something? There is no message that wasn't already known. Just like in most other sections of society if you're better, more good looking, wealthier, connected etc you get more chances. Who didn't know that? Some of you people on here just want some vigilante relative justice to make y'all feel better for being on the talk shows and stuff.

First of all you don't have to insult me. We are adults (or I hope you are one). Second this is how I feel and you are not going to modify my thoughts. You are the one that is getting emotional about a statement I made.

He got cut. Deal with it. It was necessary. You act as if it's no big deal. If he didn't get cut, would you be okay with it and what message would that have transmitted to his teammates?

Anyone see this? Sorry if it's already been posted. What a load of BS, if they're cutting Lucky based on an "accumulation" of events than Zeke should have been cut with him.

They should just come out and say "he wasn't good enough to be worth the headache, Zeke is".

In an indirect way, they are implying just what you said.

And of course, talent is the great equalizer. You tolerate more from a superstar than a scrub. It is not that hard to figure out.

This story gets weirder all the time.

http://scout.com/nfl/cowboys/Articl...ehead-As-Tells-CowboysHQcom-It-Wasn-105434794

Whitehead is swearing up and down that it wasn't him. And, if that's the case, it's a safe bet that he and his agent will go to great lengths to have him cleared in this one.

And it will, in turn, make the Cowboys look dumb for cutting him for something he didn't do. Not that the guy didn't deserve to be cut, only that he's didn't deserve to be cut for something he never did.

And they can say whatever they want about "accumulation", but it doesn't fly when it was done the day that the shoplifting story broke and the first day of camp.

Whitehead wasn't making the team anyway, and had more than his share of chances, but if he had nothing to do with the incident that got him cut? It's a bad look for this team, no matter how anyone may try to spin it or dismiss it.

No doubt the stars get special treatment, that's an admitted fact.

But, again, if Whitehead ends up totally cleared of this one, the Cowboys look bad by cutting him before finding out. Even if past history shows he deserved it, TE fact that it happened the day this broke shows that this was the last straw, which could turn out to be an unjustified one.

Wait, it is a bad look for the team to cut a screw up marginal player who has all kinds of weirdness surrounding him?

What team needs that? We already have enough of it from the rest of Jerry's special kids to deal with one as insignificant as Whitehead.

Sure, the timing looks weird and if you are looking to condemn the Cowboys for using a convenient out to wash their hands of him, go ahead.

An hour after a story breaks about him that may prove to be untrue? Yeah, damn right it is.

I'm going to condemn them for acting rashly based on what may prove to be false information.

Funny how they're "patient" with Wilson's issue, but will cut Whitehead without actually knowing the facts. Makes them look like hypocritical idiots, and gives each and every critic even more ammo and support for their hatred.

Smh.. its a shame. What so many would give to have the opportunity to play professional football... and others just take for granted. He will we regret this if he's lucky.

Yeah, you can kind of understand players blowing it with drugs because of addiction and stuff, but making half a million a year and shoplifting - it just does not get any more stupid than that!

Spare me. First you say don't insult you which I didn't do and secondly you then do the same exact thing I did but whining about insults. Again spare me. Show me where I'm trying to modify your view? You can't because I'm not. Some of y'all think too highly of yourselves online. You made a post I disagreed and that's it. All this other blabbing you doing is junk just trying to silence me from commenting on your post I disagree with.

I don't give a rats you know if he got cut I'm just saying let it be off performance not what ended up being the case. It's not hard to understand that unless you're trying to be obtuse. It sends no message because is asked cut? How about Carroll, Gregory, or others? What is this message? The only message I got is they can grandstand to make some that aren't really paying attention imo feel they are sending a message.

Then how was his name on the citation and the warrant? I know cops are whatever in this country but I know Prince William County, and they're pretty decent in northern VA.

Well everything came out this morning, and the guy didn't have an ID on him, and gave the police luckys name, birth date, and social. Mistakes happen, I'm glad he got this cleared up. Team wise, I think the team did the proper thing. He was too much of a distraction

If Lucky was a 21 year old All Pro, he would still be on the team.
