Luke Schoonmaker since Week 11

All he needed was targets. And now finally healthy.

Schoon is right on track, he is going to overtake Ferg eventually, but while it lasts both of them together are going to be a very good.
Schoon and Ferg will be like MP and O to a lesser degree.

It seems logical to me.

Who normally practices with the 2nd team quarterback? The 2nd team receivers, right?

Could it be that Schoonmaker's increased productivity coincides with Rush becoming the starter? Perhaps Dak and he didn't have the same familiarity on the field, Dak preferred Ferguson because he was more confident in him.

Mazi is improving and Schoonmaker as well?

Either this draft was better than recently thought or Jerry has called in all his media acolytes to say as many good things as possible about the younger players in order to slow the fan's stampede to the exit doors.

i don’t typically like to down our players, but a second rounder playing league avg for two games in his second year isn’t worth hyping up
How do you expect them to play at a higher level when all they are asked to do is block as a TE2?

The only time they get to show what they got is if and when TE1 gets hurt.

total horsecrap
Ferguson is simply a much bigger threat in the passing game

That goes on for all positions for decades and multiple coaches.

He’s one to watch as he could make Ferg expendable if he can keep trending up. Ferg is a guy that could get you another day 2 pick by trading his last year of his rookie deal.
IDK, Ferguson is a monster. I'd rather let Schoon improve, then trade him.

You don't waste a 2nd round pick on a TE that blocks for on 35% of the offensive plays.
Then change the playbook and game plan. as it sucks anyway. Adapt to the skills of the players. Use their strengths.
Instead of making the players try to change.
we already know is is almost 20 years outdated.

That is what they said they would do, but I guess they didn’t.

As I said some fans do not understand as much as they think they do.

Blocking on 35% of the plays isn't what he was drafted for.

Where did you come up with that number by the way?

Fans did not make the play book. Some Coaches don't know how to properly use the talent they have.

We have never successfully used two TE's. You would think with our WR group this would have been a priority.

We were told he was struggling or a bust. How many number 2 TE's have we seen sit and or struggle in Dallas and end up being very solid in once they actually get to play?
A lot of it is rising to the opportunity and Scoon has been playing solid ball. Other than Bennett though I can't think of other recent tight ends that did better with their new teams vs Dallas.
