I'm not sure what that has to do with what I said. I agree with the sentiment, and don't understand their fascination with a deep TE room when they don't utilize them. My point was that those numbers aren't particularly impressive, and the sample size is nothing.
And it won't change one Ferguson comes back.

It took Shultz a couple of seasons to become what he is. Schoon is coming along. Definitely a good thing to see.
Did it or did we just not let him play. We paid Jarwin, he got hurt, then Schultz game out of nowhere.

All he needed was targets. And now finally healthy.

If the Cowboys had traded him after game 9 for a 4th round pick, would it have been a good trade?

Fans hated the Mingo trade, but he had done more 9 games into his 2nd season than Schoonmaker...

Absolutely. Ferguson is similar to Schultz. He can put up numbers and make plays.

But he’s no where near the Gronk, Kittl, Kelce, Witten range.

I don’t over pay for similar production. But man, this board has done a complete 180 on Pro Schoon and anti Fergy lol
There is a big middle-ground between Gronk/Kelce/Witten and Schultz.
- Ferguson can block. Schultz can't.

Our experts and scouts here at the zone claim that he and mazi are busts......thank God these experts don't run our team....

Fergy is back and I fully expect Schoon to fade into the background due to lack of opportunity, but I'm open to being surprised because Schoon has some juice.

Hard to do anything when not played and only asked to block for the most part.

He’s one to watch as he could make Ferg expendable if he can keep trending up. Ferg is a guy that could get you another day 2 pick by trading his last year of his rookie deal.
I think that’s what smart teams do. If you aren’t gonna extend a player, you trade in last year of his contract. I don’t know if he’s as good as Ferg and Ferg is an emotional leader. But you can’t keep everyone. And doing what we’ve done in the past where we use tag for a year then get a comp pick a year later is silly. You think a couple years ahead and if you aren’t or can’t sign a guy you trade him

What are you talking about a second round curse you mean like Trayvon diggs? Tank ? Just at tight end is that what you're saying 'cause everyone who keeps bringing up that the second round seems to be bad for us you might wanna look at the total history of the second round recently like going back 10 years plenty of quality players have been taken there... but of course this place always harps on the negative.

The reason scared maker has looked good is because he hasn't been utilized properly he hasn't been used almost in any way and that can go to the same reason Rico look like just the average player when he could have been much better just like Turpin is hardly using the offense there's one name you can blame that would be Mike McCarthy oh wait a minute 2 names Mike McCarthy head coach Mike McCarthy offensive coordinator the most uncreative old school play calling and visionary I've ever seen....
The second round curse is a myth lol

yes it is a myth we picked I believe tank Trayvon diggs there's been good players there and schoonmaker is not that bad a player we're not the only team that misses in every round in any position at any spot and we're not the only people who take our chance on a player who's been hurt because we did it with Clark right we did it with jaylen Smith at least jalen Smith turned out to have a Pro Bowl year he did make a lot of tackles he just never lived up to expectations and you got Carolina pick brooks the running back from Texas had an ACL tear they picked him in a second and now he tore his ACL again it happens there's no blueprint there's no perfect way to go throughout the draft you just draft and hope they workout it doesn't matter where they're drafted because some of these drafts the players we got deep in the rounds like bland what was he a fifth round pick I don't I don't remember but when you hit on guys download it makes up for any of the ones up high that you may have missed on you just have to have a good draft even if it's undrafted free agents you literally can fill out your team in the offseason that's the goal no matter where they come from you need role players you need starters some of them you hope are gonna be pro bowlers or hall of farmers that you just have to pick them and then just let them play
