Dam, this is not good...……….I knew all the talk of a "stinger" was BS, you dont miss this many games if just a stinger. Now it makes sense.
Other athletes have had to retire because of this, especially if he takes another shot to the neck. He is also risking an injury to his spinal cord because there is less protection for the spinal cord after the surgery. If he took a vicious shot to the neck again, he could have permanent paralysis.
Dude needs to hang up the cleats and retire, its not worth the risk. This is just a game, its not worth potentially being paralyzed for the rest of your life. And as others have pointed out, if the team knew of this condition before the draft and still drafted him anyways, that was being incompetent. A player with this condition, especially at LB, is not going to have a long career.
