LVE continues to be weak link

I don't remember any level headed poster thinking Jaylon wasn't horrible in the last two or three years.

I don't think anyone hear thinks LVE is great, just that he's not nearly as bad as the OP wants him to be...for whatever reason he might have. I doubt anyone would be against replacing him with someone better, but that clearly hasn't been easy to do, otherwise DQ would have done it.

When we are 3-5 there may be a different sentiment on here. The defense run game is the Achilles heel we are giving up 5.3 yards a game against relatively poor offensive lines. The storm is coming and necessity is the mother of invention. LVE will be gone. He already is out on third downs.

Watch the game. Many on here see him as slow and lumbering. Are they making things up for giggles? No. It is because it is true. Because he tackle someone twenty yards downfield after the first down marker is ipso facto slow and lumbering. Rather than for a loss or a stop or a 2 yard gain. Watch the game and focus only on him and you will see what many of us see. He really is that bad.

You watch the game, and watch him catch someone from behind, after running across the field to get him, when nobody else caught him. I think the neck protector makes him look slower than he actually is.

Hes only a detriment if theres a better option sitting behind him. Im not sure there is. There muct be a valid reason why Cox isnt playing.Im going with the coaching staff feels LVE is better

Kearse and Wilson. I would rather have more of our good safeties that cover the run and pass. The answer is there. Starting the season with Barr and wolf boy was a poor personnel decision. I am not responsible for that. As bad as dealing Hitchens and others.

Not superstar but not dead weight either. Wolfboy is carried by this team but when we are 3-5 there may be some different opinions. Wilson and Kearse (when ready) are much better options. He is out on third downs so he cannot cover.

Im lukewarm on him. Cox muxt have some sort of defect the coaches see to have him out of the lineup. The sooner we get LVE replacement the better.That said I have seen him make plays just not as many as i see him late on

He makes zero plays. Tackles yes but not any impact plays for the defense

It is clear as many on here get it with eyes to see. But there will be many that dont and then deny they didn’t get it once wolf boy is benched indefinitely and gone. The storm is coming ( we already have a terrible 5.3 yrds per carry average on defense and it will get much, much worse not better given much better teams ahead. We will be 3-3 in two weeks and it wont be because of the offense.

As for the neck protector, something rigid standing up behind his head would make him look slower and "lumbering" to anyone who wants to see him that way, because it gives the appearance of inflexibility.

First, just to be clear, the "watch the tape" was a dig at Jaylon's infamous attempt to defend himself.

Secondly, NO. No one has ever been as bad as Jaylon & allowed to continue to start as a LBer in the NFL. It was essentially giving the other team a 12-10 player advantage.
