Wow, LVE makes a stop and causes a turnover…..bad news, he is Dr. Jekyll and again looked mostly terrible in stoping the run. Against good defensive teams with a run game (Philly, San Fran, et all) we will be decimated. Like I have said the storm is coming and against more complete teams with a running game, we are toast.

He was the best part about the run defense today.

Review these posts and see the less than stellar reviews. Focusing on two plays to the detriment of solidifying the middle and run defense is ridiculous. Maybe you are not aware of over 200 rush yards against this fabulous play. You must be living in a parallel universe. Not what most of us saw.

LVE is one of the most frustrating Cowboys to watch. He will make a great play slicing through the noise to make a TFL. But the next 3 plays he will miss a tackle, shoot the wrong gap or wait for a blocker to come take him out of the play.

My point exactly feast or famine should be his nickname. And mostly famine agains the run. If LVE looked like he played, feast or famine would lool anorexic.

I think LVE is the victim of first round expectations, especially given the amount of success the Cowboys have had with other first rounders over the last decade.

Fans of his go out of his way to defend him (overlooking his obvious shortcomings), while others – myself included – find him to be a disappointment.

IMO, he’s nothing more than average, and I think any number of mid to late round guys could do what he does.

He started out very good, but because of injuries or whatever, his play has fallen off, and I think he’s now no better than Jaylon 2.0 (and when he’s gone we’ll miss him as much).

We can’t find his replacement fast enough.

I really dont care where he was selected. With two solid linebackers to replace LVE and Barr we would be Super Bowl bound. Not this year.

Yes same crap from linebacker play….in full agreement….when it changes I will be the first to report it…but not until. A few good plays offset by 200 rushing yards against us. Not championship play. The storm is coming.

It is coming. Get your popcorn…..Dallas is not winning the division and may not even get into the playoffs. Did you notice the 200 plus rush yards against us? And against a bad Chicago D? Teams with solid run games and good D’s (many in NFC including San Fran and Philly) will destroy us. Our linebacking corps is our Achilles heel besides Parsons.

That's the thing though: Nobody is saying, or has said that he's great. Just that he's better than his apparently abandoned stepson claims he is. He's better than a lot of LBs in the league, but I don't think there's anyone here who would refuse an upgrade. There are more pressing issues right now though, and this constant badgering is just annoying and unwarranted.

I base my observations on each game, so if it sounds like a broken record, that is because of broken linebacker play. No it probably will not change. But I call a spade a spade. We are not getting by the best in the NFC or AFC with broken records.

No badgering, just observations game to game. An opinion amongst many. You dont like my threads, dont read them. When play improves (unlikely) I will note that but not until. I dont make stuff up to please people. I report what I see. Yes, the storm is coming. Our run stopping is enormously deficient in big part due to lack of middle linebacking play and will not get up by better NFC/AFC teams with good defenses. Good running teams will outscore us with better defenses.

LVE is an up n down player...one minute he makes a good play then the next he's playing terrible. Nobody's hating dude is inconsistent and I can see how it's frustrating for some.
