because we know the chiefs roster is way better than Dallas roster....lol.... smh
Chiefs gave up 16.5 points per game last year. Every time the gave up more than 21 points the great Mahomes lost.

Explain that to me???

I would happily take my chances with Dak only needing 17 to 21 points to win games.

Niners had 27 rushing TD's last year. We had 14.

Whose job is easier? Dak or Purdy's?

im not going down this road AGAIN. Ill just say a couple of words. Peyton manning, Tom Brady, Mahomes, you think their rosters were head and shoulders above the rest of the league? Not a chance. Broncos sucked, fot Manning and wala, won a SB. I guess the GM all of the sudden learned. Bucs hadnt MADE THE PLAYOFFS in a decade, got Brady... wala, won a SB.

Chiefs hadnt sniffed a SB, got Mahomes, Wala, GM all of the sudden was Genius and they have 3.
QB can help or hurt, but it is a combination of things that make a SB winner or even SB loser, who people forget is a conference champ.
Coaching play calling, run game, passing, qb, rb, special teams , kicker, they all matter.

If we, as fans, can easily see that this team is cursed with a FO that's inadequate, isn't it likely that our players are aware of it, too?
They're around the likes of Jerry and Stephen on a somewhat regular basis -- it's more than evident that they know what to expect.
Somehow, despite all the signs that indicate this team's players have a morale problem that won't quit, the FO yet blames coaching. :muttley:
Good post.

Jerry should be fed up with McCarthy. He had the team about as inspired for the playoffs as someone being escorted to the electric chair. The fat head should’ve been fired.

Put John lynch in there and see how many of your boxes he checks.
Is John Lynch spending his time out there promoting his stadium?

Is John Lynch going to meetings with managers in charge of the marketing or finance divisions?

Does John Lynch dedicate a significant amount of time with media relations.

John Lynch has one single focused goal, just like the vast majority of GM's in the NFL with one notable exception.

whatever... the point was simple. Lynch had zero experience. I pointed that out to the original post, and now it is but, but, but, but.... yawn.

sure they all matter, and they are all irrelevant without the right qb.

You go the right qb, and all of the sudden all of those other areas are magically better.

So your premise seems to be that if Lynch can be a GM with only a 13 year, 9 Pro Bowl, Hall of Fame career in the NFL, often as a team captain, then it is perfectly logical to assume that Jones is qualified......because he played in college.

I mean, that's practically a mirror image of Lynch's career.

lol
Lynch earned his GM job, Jerry just bought his.
Fish told a story about jerry , when in college he wanted to win his future wife a big teddy bear at the fair.
Other players had won their GF one.

So Jerry slipped off and just bought one from another booth and gave that to his gf saying he won it.
Just the way he is, cant earn it, just buy it.

Jerry was far more qualified with his background to be a GM then Lynch ever was.

One unqualified sentence.....that's your response?

Would you ever consider providing a logical explanation to your conclusion? It would have a very high entertainment value, I can assure you of that.

It was and always will be a Jones circus................and will continue to be as many Jones are waiting in the wings to take over.
Can the circus continue to win 12 games a year?

maybe but I think this year is 10 wins max.
Too many new guys. They did get the tougher teams at home, so that may help.
But GB was at home so maybe not.

Yes they did...and KC lost two more regular season games when the opponent only scored 20 points.

But come playoff time...the Chiefs came together and made a gritty run to achieve the NFL Championship.
WC game v. Dolphins__ gave up just 7 points.
Divisional round AT Bills__24 points - but won by 3.
Conference championship AT Ravens___10 points - won by 7 -
without scoring in the 2nd half.
League title game__49ers scored 22 points, but Chiefs won in OT by 3.
No doubt the Kansas City Chiefs won their 2nd consecutive Super Bowl on the back of their defense.

But their QB performed at nearly a flawless rate to supplement the championship.
4 games___
149 att \ 104 completed = 69.8%, 1051 yds, 6 TD, 1 INT, yds/att = 7.6, yds/cmp = 10.1, QB rating = 100.3

I turned this video off after about 10 seconds. Mike Fisher can stretch a 10 second conversation into 10 minutes if you let him. :omg:
I didn't let him. I'm glad some of you did, so I could check up on your comments. Thanks for saving me from that, my friends!!!
