No different than resigning mediocre players who never won anything to huge contracts. In Dallas, you fail upwards.

Kellen looks 12 but in 6 years as an OC his team has finished top 7 in points scored per game 4 times with non-top 5 QBs.
He is a Boise spread guy but lead the league in rush attempts this year.
I am not real sure I'd love the hire; but it makes a lot of sense to get an interview, and he will almost certainly get a HC job somewhere very soon.

If Dallas does hire him expect them to draft Jeanty because he is a big proponent of the run game and loves Boise St to his core.

Fact: Mike McCarthy made the playoffs with the Cowboys 3 consecutive seasons, something that the Cowboys last did in 1994-96.

2 of those 3 years it was Kellen's offense and play calls.
But certainly, he was the guy who tweaked things and called plays in 2023 that lead to a 2nd place MVP finish for Dak.
MM is not a bum by any means. But I do think a lot of shine has rinsed off him at this point.
He was not a serious candidate this cycle except for with 2 out of 7 teams: Chicago and NO.

Jerry is going to try to find his DC as well. I am sure he'd pay Salah well and give him AHC title to come here. Not sure that is enough to lure him away from SF.

When fans were screaming about Mike's play calls and the routes being run Jerry was saying my god i shoulda kept Kellen.
Jerry runs the team like a fan with a few business degrees.

You just had to know that when all the other possibilities were destroyed by that genius GM JJ, he then was going to have to settle, instead of having a descent pick for head coach, by not just simply paying the guy the going rate. He's rolled the dice several times, just to come up with snake eyes, again and again. Brilliant.

Moore doesn’t excite me, but I’ll definitely take him over Schottenheimer.

I'll pass on him. The bigger the game. The more he shrinks. Anyone can call decent plays for all the talent the Eagles assembled on offense. He will shrink as the opposition gets better. He can't handle big time pressure moments and his situational awareness is extremely poor.

I'll give you a like because you have alternatives.

The one I have a problem with is Deion. No way is he "vastly superior and more qualified". He has zero NFL coaching experience, and is barely .500 at the FBS level. Moore has a multi-year proven track record of success as an NFL OC, but his head coaching chops are an unknown.
