I 100 percent agree my dude. I feel like GWD should be a team stat. Unless that entire drive is on the arm of the QB. But i feel like that’s taking away from the WR. Remember that circus catch Dak made to put us into OT against the eagles daks rookie year? It’s mind boggling the lengths “stats” people will go to. To the point of creating a statistic for one player on a 53 man roster lolIf that loss should not count against Dak (which I agree with) then I don't believe Dak should get the credit for a GWD if Zeke runs a 30 yards TD in (Steelers 2016), right?
It has to work both ways. GWD is a stupid stats to give to solely the QB.
You can't just give them credit for the glory and minimize their impact in the loses, ya know what I mean?
Post all his 4th Q comeback WINS please.........
Everyone be ready for one of the shortest posts ever here in the CZ!
P.S. You can count the Falcons game even though it was an early Xmas gift....
Shhhh! You can be a troll, do troll things and literally ruin any QB discussion. But do not call them out.
I don't mind yards, TDs, and all that jazz....I 100 percent agree my dude. I agree 100 percent. Which is why I also think pinning a loss solely on a QB is just as dumb of an exercise.I don't mind yards, TDs, and all that jazz....
But when it comes to things like wins, GWDs, 4thQ comebacks, and junk like that.... Those stats should never be given solely to a player.
I mean let's say we're down 12 to 14, our defenses forces a stop deep in our opponents territory, the punter muffs and we get the ball on our opponents 45 yard line... Zeke loses a yard and Dak throw's back to back incompletions. So we trot out our kicker and he kicks a 50+ yarder for the win with no time left. We win 15 to 14 with all our scores coming from FGs....
In what universe should Dak solely get the GWD, 4th quarter comeback, and win for that? It's insane that these accomplishments are given to the QB and the QB only.
Oh hey another Dak and top 10 qb list debate. I wonder how this is going to go....
I don't know this, but maybe you do...I agree 100 percent. Which is why I also think pinning a loss solely on a QB is just as dumb of an exercise.
Was it a scene form "Bambi" or "Zoo"?I just played that and animals gathered around my house after they sensed MadDogs voice. Ugh
I dont believe so. I think the offense has to be on the field but I could be wrong.I don't know this, but maybe you do...
If a team gets a late pick 6, fumble return, special teams play, or whatever to take the lead in a game, and nothing else happens except the defense stopping the opposing team from getting the lead back..... does the QB then get credit for a GWD, 4th Quarter comeback, and win? Even though the last time they were even on the filed their team was losing?
I wouldn't be shocked either way.I dont believe so. I think the offense has to be on the field but I could be wrong.
Yeah which is a word I cant even post here lolI wouldn't be shocked either way.
The QB would def. be credited the win, if nothing else.
Well we know your existence doesn't include the ability to answer basic questions because you've avoided enough of them.
Well Dak is tied for the second most game winning drives in his first four seasons. Only one quarterback in history has had more in that time frame. Do this count??
Oh yeah.... when Dak puts us in position to win late, but the defense lets the opposing offense drive down within 2 minutes and let the other team get in fg position or touchdown for the win, I assume according to your logic thats Dak's fault too that another game winning drive was snatched from his record due to a defensive lapse??
The comparison is Brady to Prescott? I compare Prescott to Cousins, Murray, Jackson and not to Brady, Mahomes and Rodgers or even the young guns Allen, Burrow, Herbert and Lawrence.
It is interesting that Lawrence gets little mention because of the awful franchise he plays for that set him back by hiring Meyer.
McFarland lost his argument when he said that Prescott may not have shown up in the big moments but that's what really puts QB's on the map. That's what has kept Rivers off that list because when I watched him play, particularly throw the ball, he was as good as any I've ever seen. Comparing Prescott to Brady in one game is like Romo to P. Manning in one game.
It has always been when the competition is the stiffest, that is when the truly great ones will shine. Prescott has not done that yet and all the excuses in the world are not going to change that. However, that does not mean he will not start doing that.
I have never heard of this Mad Dog character and I hope to never hear form him again. What a whiny voice. Might have just as well gotten Gilbert Gottfried to do that.
You know as well as I do that this is folly. People who hate Dak will steadfastly claim that wins are owed to someone else and losses are on Dak. Then will turn around and claim that people who support back make the opposite claim.. Anybody making either claim is dead wrong. Teams win and lose. Period. Trying to boil it all down to one player is just softheaded nonsense. I do have to laugh at people who only remember Zeke's big run to win the 2016 game at Pittsburgh yet can't seem to recall that Dak was 10 of 11 in the 4th quarter to set up both of Zeke's TD runs. And in fact before those two TD runs of 14 and 32 yards Zeke had gained a big fat 7 yards on 6 carries in the 4th quarter. But he "won the game" not Dak. Dak's pinpoint passing carved up the Steelers secondary and forced them to stay honest allowing Zeke room to run. Dak was the one who moved the team from its own 25 to the Steelers' 32 in 25 seconds. And it was Dak strafing their defense that forced them to lose track of Zeke on those runs. But I could just as easily say it was Zeke's running early in the game that opened the passing game up for Dak late.. But frankly I choose to simply say both guys contributed to the win.. along with some 40 other dudes. But that's just me..
Are you implying that because the Cowboys are 1-3 with Dak in the playoffs that he is more talented and skilled than Herbert because the Chargers are 0-0 in the playoffs with him?Lol funny how the Seattle playoff win gets lost, but a guy like Herbert is all of a sudden above Dak...lol tell me what big moment Herbert had, Lawrence,
Do the drives that don't result in 4th quarter comebacks or GWD drives count against Dak? Are there stats for that?
If a team makes a game winning FG against us does that count against Dak? Or is that a team thing?
He should be getting paid by Dak's PR office then again he's probably on the payroll already.Good thing you clarified that at end there, because the first 3/4th of your book sure didn't sound like that.
