That should work perfectly. I was thinking of a getting a chromecast, especially when the Netflix offer was available, but I already have an Apple TV so decided against. Looks good though!

Do I need a DirecTV subscription to access NFL Sunday Ticket?

No, it's not necessary to have a DirecTV subscription. Each Anniversary Edition includes a code that can be redeemed to access the full 2013 regular season (17 weeks) of NFL Sunday Ticket on computer, tablet, and mobile devices
That's all I needed to know.

This will be my first year NOT buying Madden. 13 was absolutely horrible. This is the year I give up. In a few years, there will be competition again, and then maybe I;ll give it another chance. They removed so many good features last year. I love creating my own team(which was gone), my friends, fam whatever in it(which was gone). I usually like the soundtracks(which was gone)

I was in the same boat as you but this deal made me change my mind. I'd probably have paid $99 for Sunday Ticket streaming outright, Madden 25 is gravy.

Just letting all of y'all know. Streaming NFL Sunday Ticket through Playstation SUCKS....I had to do it last year after 8 years of Direct TV, I thought I'd get smart and try something new..I have the fastest highspeed you can have. Didn't matter. The quality was horrible. Freeze ups were often.........Glitches all the time....I just don't think PS could handle the amount of space the NFL was trying to give them or take up....It was lower quality than low def times 2. Just payed $200 to get out of my Dish contract, and got Direct TV back and NFL Sunday Ticket free for two years...Won't make that mistake again.

My experience with PS3 ticket pretty much matches yours...tons of freezing and glitching despite a very fast connection. Definitely not worth buying for those who are interested. That being said, I did preorder the Madden anniversary edition solely for the ticket. Let's hope that the streaming will work better this year.

Since you can watch the games on a computer, I imagine all it would take is to watch using the Chrome browser and 'push' it to a chromecast.

Before I order this, I want to be absolutely CERTAIN that it will work on my PS3/PC. I don't have directv, but coverage is available in my area. Just don't want to be out $100 bucks for nothing....

I'm pretty sure that the sunday ticket deal ONLY works for PC, tablet, or smartphone. No PS3. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong here.

Well, I could always hook up my laptop. But seeing this has me skeptical:

I am currently employed at a DirecTV call center and we have been trained to inform anyone calling in asking this question (I get three or four a day) that we must send a technician out to their place of residence to attempt to install DirecTV and/or to confirm that they cannot receive service.

The point of the offer, obviously, is to get the service into more homes and to sell you on premium channels such as HBO, Starz, Cinemax, and Showtime, and maybe even NFL Sunday Ticket next year.5/25/13 5:54pm

Well, I kind of doubt that they're going to make sure that all 100,000 people can't receive DTv service. If I remember correctly, the PS3 application from last year asked you if you could receive service in a simple yes or no format. That's all there was to it.

This is really deceiving. What a crappy company.

How? No where in the offer did they say, if you do not want direct TV then we will give you this. It said if you cannot 'get' direct TV, then they will give you this. If you think a company is just going to take your word for it, that you can't subscribe to there service without verifying, just so you can con your way into what you want, then you're foolish, and doing that says more of you being deceiving then the company.
