Madden launches tonight

There's a patch coming in September, hopefully it sorts out defensive awareness and tackling cause these issues are really game breakers for me, but if not for these 2 things the game would actually be quite good.
There's only so many times it's fun to see someone complete a pass against double and tripple coverage cause your DBs do nothing but stand there and watch the WR catch. If it doesn't get fixed this will probably be the first time i trade inn a Madden game

I need to get back to this again. I haven't played in a few days cause MW2 has called my name again and has gotten me hooked into playing online once more.

I lost my 1st game last night to a guy I was way better than. He had a glitchy blitz up the middle that gave me less than a 2nd to get rid of the ball.

I hate that Madden supports the "nano blitz".

How about just being realistic and let my guys win against their opponent every once in awhile.

Just a brief check, but I'm pretty sure that every "Madden Moment" that has the Cowboys (4, I think) deals with the other team beating the Cowboys. I don't think any of them involve the Cowboys winning to complete the Madden Moment. I also don't recall seeing any Cowboys in the opening sequence. Now, I need to go double check. Is this a time to "Embrace the Hate"?

The ware sack forced fumble, and the Austin 49 yard td should both be in there. They are in the top 20 plays of the season, IMO.

Once again Madden has way too many broken tackles. In all madden mode, they average like 10 broken Tackles + a game.

I loved madden, but I get more and more tired of it each year. I'll love it again when it gets competition and they have to actually step it up instead of adding dumb features like Gameflow and then just calling it a day.

just wanted to get a second opinion on this...I am in an online madden league and I have the chargers (cowboys were taken )anyways..the chiefs offered me Eric Berry and a 6th rounder for Vincent Jackson..Should I do it?

Here is what I am thinking..I am leaning yes..

1) Offense is much easier than defense..I feel like I can make do with Gates as my #1 WR..and Sproles as my RB (I start him bc he is sooo frickin fast)..plus it isnt hard to utilize these bums (floyd and nanee) into the passing game either

2) I typically like to control the FS position on defense..Eric Berry is a man child in this game..I feel like I can make a ton of plays w him on defense..

what do you guys think?

do it. In 2-3 seasons Berry is 95 overall.

How do you stop slants on this game? I've done everything I can think of so it must be 1 or 2 certain plays that can stop it.

I haven't had particular trouble stopping the slants in this game yet, but what has always worked pretty well for me is to just use Cover 2 and press coverage. Usually I'll user a safety in case I guess wrong. You could also drop a DE back into a yellow zone.

I've been getting beat up in the middle, about 10-15 yards downfield in this game. I couldn't stop a guy with the Minnesota Favres last night.

First, you have to make sure he's actually on the field in a package. I think several formations, like the dime, don't have him out there in the "Normal" formation so you have to switch to "OLB pass rush" with the right stick.

Second, make sure the play calls for him to rush the QB, or you can also just hot route him to rush the QB.

Select Ware on the field (or the player you want to hot route.) Hit a directional button to bring up the Strategy Pad. Hit the Down button on D-pad, and Down again for blitz. Select another player you'd like to use.

On a side note, the D-pad is the worst idea ever. They need to go back to the old style.

I just had a 5 catch, 175 yards, and 3 TD game with Dez Bryant and he made a reminiscent diving catch like he did in the Georgia game where he tracked it down.
