Can someone please tell us this isn't happening?

*We have an owner that basically sells everything that he can from his past stadium, down to bags of concrete, and you have people buying it.

*We have an owner who, despite what a lot of the zoners have to say about the subject, has indeed made a joke of the head coaching position on his team. Just show me one bona fide head coach who can't talk to the media. Name me one IN ANY SPORT. This is a first, and it makes it just like he likes, Jerry, Jerry, more of Jerry, nothing but Jerry.

*We have an owner who on the one front is gonna chew some butt and on the other front has agreed to the Cowboys version of Pros vs. Joes

*We have an owner who doesn't even try to hide is megalomania any more. He now just comes out and says that no one knows it like him. Wow

And on top of it all, there are host of people who applaud it all and say THERE YOU GO, MEDIA TYPES, YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE.

What?

Do you really think the media makes this team the joke that it is at times? Do you think the media makes Jerry Jones the laughing stock clown that he is?

I've got news for you. The EVIL media just reports it. They don't have to drum anything up around this team, Jerry Jones gives them loads of fun every season.

Say what you want, call me what you want, but this team has never been at a lower point in my estimation. They have been lower talent wise. They have been lower record wise. But they have never been lower in terms of how this team is currently functioning on a leadership level.

Even in the Campo days Jerry TRIED to leave the PERCEPTION that Campo was in charge. He doesn't even pretend anymore.

Yes, let's continue to complain this offseason about everything. Lets complain about the fact that due to Jerry's actions, no matter where you live in the US and no matter what record the Cowboys have, you are almost guaranteed to see a majority of their games.

"dude", that is the sadness of it. I COULD just bump my post from 2 weeks ago. The same insanity, only to a greater power, continues to happen almost weekly.

I sometimes think you could take the title of William Bennett's book "The Death of Outrage" and just apply it to many a Dallas Cowboys fan.

Does anything seem outrageous to you any more? The owner of the Dallas Cowboys just said, publicly, that he is the lone voice of his team. Can you please give me ONE, just ONE example where this happens?

I don't even think Crazy Al in Oakland has pulled this one yet. And some of you don't think this strange?

Honestly, is this all the matters any longer? That we can see our team on TV and that we lead the world in merchandise sales?

I can remember a time we were known for winning. Now we are known for absurdity.

It may come close, but the head coach was still up there wasn't he? Go ahead give me ONE example. You can't. This is absurd, people. You can say "what is the big deal" all you want. It IS a big deal. It is the owner not even pretending that his head coach matters as an authority figure on football and personnel issues any more. ONLY JERRY matters on those issues. He will control info. He is now the Baghdad Bob of the Dallas Cowboys.

I thought we came off a winning season, could be wrong tho.

You make my point for me. So, now in Dallas, a 9-7 non playoff year, getting blown OUT in Philly, is winning?

No, when I say we were known for winning, I mean multiple playoff appearances and PLAYOFF wins. Conference Championships. World Championships.

I know many of you don't want to believe it, but Jerry Jones stumbled into the Jimmy Johnson era and the early 90's success. He has been trying to recapture it by himself ever since. The team hit such a low point that he had to humble himself, temporarily, and ask for help. The roster got strengthened, and now he thinks he is ready to go it alone again.

Got news for you, good ship lolly pop, if this is Jerry's course, it won't be long before this ship is sinking again.

World Championships.

I'm not one of those fans that started watching the Cowboys in the 90s, so I have lived through a 15 year span between Superbowl wins, a 1-15 season, years that we appeared just on the cusp of winning it all and others that we reached the big game but lost in heartbreaking fashion. I would gladly live through today when we have had 4 straight winning seasons and on the cusp of winning it all, than root for a team like the Seahawks or Cardinals that have one Superbowl appearance in their entire history and they both lost.

From 13-3 to 9-7....good season. Lets pat ourselves on the back for that one.

dont like it? then follow the Eagles.

yea right. Par for the course from many, many on this board. Accept whatever weird jerry dishes out, or go find another team.

Sorry. I was a Cowboys fan before Jerry owned them. I'll be a Cowboys fan, if I'm alive, after Jerry no longer is involved with them.

I don't have to like what he is doing. I don't like what he is doing. And I plan on making my opinion known for as long as I'm allowed to.

And to dallasfaniac, and I mean this sincerely, not in a smart alek way, I'm sorry that you can't remember better days than these. But my honest opinion is, this is the pathway to being the old Arizona Cardinals. We are now 13 years without a playoff win and counting.

But hey, don't worry, want to buy a bag of concrete from the old Texas Stadium?

How about a Texas Stadium toilet?

Question: how does constantly whining about what you perceive as shortcomings change things? It's one thing to come up with comments and criticisms, but to repeatedly beat the same dead horse over and over again is useless.

you know what M'Kevon, you are probably right. I guess I am just shocked by it, and maybe more shocked that no matter how far weird Jerry pushes it, no one is shocked any longer.

But to your point. Will it change a thing? No. I think it is just a way to vent some frustration, and I don't guess I have ever been more frustrated, in this particular way, with the direction this team is headed.

NP. Vent away. The only difference from the Parcells years are Bill was the face. Now it's Jerry. Who cares who's the face although I have to say Parcells was more entertaining. I doubt Wade is upset at all. He's always looked constipated up there. And it was a necessary step to stop the media frenzy. Now there can be no more 'sources'. Werder got his toy and props taken from him.

Jerry has put the "no talking" directive on himself too, not just the coaches.
