If we lose to the Giants after how inept they looked then Garrett should be barred from the return flight. Of course, if we lose this board will be saturated with posts excusing the loss because the Giants are a "division rival." There is no excuse if we lose next week. None.

Yeah we shouldn't lose to the Giants even if we don't play that well. They are not a good football team. I like that we play them on the road and coming off of a bye. We play better on the road and in NY we have a good history lately playing there.

I have yet to see any feasible excuse for any loss by the Cowboys. Cowboys need to go into NY focused and ready to go, no one is winning by just showing up. There was no reason or excuse at all for Rams to beat the Broncos but they did.

I dont like the remaining schedule at all. 4 road games (not like we have a home field just saying) 4 divison games plus playing the colts and bears. Colts are a top 5 or so team this year. Bears not so good this year but have owned us and can be dangerous. Its going to be hard to go 3-3. Commanders and giantss are done but you know they'd love to play spoiler. but only one if either the seahawks or 9ers are getting in if dallas wins 4 they should be in.

We need to bear in mind that good teams often have poorly ranked pass defenses. Opposing offenses have to play catch-up by throwing the ball often.

Can we use that excuse for our defense, too? Since we have better records than those teams. Or is it just something that we get to say of other teams?

The Rams have played well at times this year and are getting better week by week. They have several quality wins under their belts. The Giants are a disaster zone. They look like a pee wee team out there. The score in our last game against them was too close.

Yes and would rather them stay that way. I don't think Dallas can afford to take them lightly. You don't just show up in this league and win

That's what worries me about this iteration of the Dallas Cowboys. There was no excuse for losing to the Commanders (who actually managed to look worse than the Giants did this week), but somehow we did.

Thing is what you did last week really plays no part in what a team will do this week. NY was in a position to beat SF the tip ball in the endzone is picked off by the 9ers. Heck NY had 5 turnovers and lost by 6.

Agreed. Though I don't think either of those teams is particularly good.

I worry that if our offense struggles, this defense is going to be exposed. If the offense has an off day, the Eagles, Bears, and Colts could all hang 40 on us.

I agree. Both Colts and Eagles have had their fair share of unimpressive performances and beatdowns

So, that just gives "Red" and staff more game film. Earn your money..there is enough talent here to compete. to be fair the Eagle beat down was all on them. 2 ints two fumbles and a special teams melt down.

that can somewhat be corrected....

I will say this: If Dallas continues to be the most physical team on the field, they'll win most of their remaining schedule. That physical style that they've showed all year is about to really start paying dividends. That means more than anything else this time of year. If they're the most physical team they will run better and stop the run better. They'll control time of possession and the defense will stay fresh.

They just have to stick to what Garrett, Marinelli, and Linehan has had them doing so well all season.

I would love to see them put some hits like the Rams were yesterday; my goodness they beat Denver's receivers down.

Of course there is. Teams can look horrible one week then SB winners the next. If you call the right plays and players execute then no problem. Do it not and you look bad. The Skins made us look bad because we didn't stop them from doing what they were doing. The whys of that are multiple but they'd better figure that out.

Teams have shown the NFL what they can do well and what they've had problems with. The right or wrong matchups at the right or wrong time mean everything now.

If we lose that game the people you are talking about will not be able to get a word in edgewise on this board. The sky will have fallen, and there will be calls for various players and coaches jobs,etc... Pretty much happens with every loss here.

Yeah, because people are tired of the same old crap year after year. We are 7-3 this year coming off the bye and decently healthy. There is no excuse not to make the playoffs this year. We have to win the winnable games, especially at this point in the season. I have a strong feeling that the Washington game will come back to haunt us big time.

I think it's fair to say that this would not be a good way to start the stretch run.
