Maybe I'm being somewhat of a homer here, but I'm thinking we run the table.
This ain't the same old Cowboys.

But people said that when Dallas was 6-1 before the Commanders game.

If we lose to the Giants after how inept they looked then Garrett should be barred from the return flight. Of course, if we lose this board will be saturated with posts excusing the loss because the Giants are a "division rival." There is no excuse if we lose next week. None.

Agreed..................we should be able to beat a 3-7 team after having 2 weeks to prepare for them...............if we cant, we really don't deserve to be in the playoffs................same goes for the sorry arse Bears as well.

If you were right on all the others in the games I think the starters would still be playing in Washington because the number one seed would still be up for grabs.

1st off I was kidding but if we did get to week 17 with everything wrapped up except the #1 seed but had the 2nd seed I would still look at where my team is health wise and determine their status for the game based on that. That is too far down the road to even worry about

Yeah teams are going to make us win in the air, especially in the cold of winter.

We need to have our screen and quick-pass game going.

I have really felt all along Linehan is "saving" a lot of those plays (and players) for this stretch.

Yes. I think there are quite a few plays, or alignments that haven't been used yet. Game planning for the right time / team to use them.
I'm sure they worked on some stuff over the bye week to install for the Eagles game, as well as the Giants.
Already played Giants once, so familiarity is there. So some prep for the Eagles on an even shorter time than usual would not have been out of the question.

If everyone stays healthy and we open up the pass playbook a lil more, we could win them all. I like this team. Next year, I think we'll be insane. I remember having the same feeling about the Seahawks the year before they won the Superbowl. There was just something going on there.

I think we'll split with Philly (home and home) and beat Chicago....so that's still 11-5 which would make me delirious. I will say this: the Gspots will be a harder game than many on here think. It'll be tight...they haven't given up yet.

divisional games are almost always harder than they should be.
see the Rams v Seattle and SF as an example.

Dallas looks to be about as tough as match up at the NGY can find given their lack of run stopping but it is getting cold, this is the NFCE and stupid happens a lot.

I agree. I think if the Cowboys can come out of the gates quick and get the Giants down they could cave but the longer the Giants hang around the tougher the game will get.

so they were wrong once (when the QB got hurt) in this 10 game season?

Romo could get hurt again. You're proving my point: X-factors like injuries could ruin predictions anytime.

"The Cowboys will close out the season 6-0" - what if Romo suffers a season ending injury on Thanksgiving?

Beating the Eagles twice is going to be tough, in fact, playing them on Thanksgiving after a Sunday night game scares me. The Titans are 11 point dogs this
weekend for good teason.

Only positive is them traveling on a short schedule and butt fumble leading the charge then we get a mini-bye before playing them again

If we continue to COMMIT to running the ball and keep Romo injury free and our turnovers down, we should finish at least 4-2 if not better. We should have run the ball 30 times against the Cardinals and against the Commanders. We should run it - even if its not working - against everyone. Feed the beast. Better to commit to winning than worrying about next year.

Vs. Giants - run, run, run, run, run. One of the worst run defenses in the league. Force them to stack 8 in the box to stop us and then keep running it even when they do.

Vs. Phil - run, run, run, run, run. One of the worst run defenses in the league. Most control TOP. Force them to stack 8 in the box.

Vs. Bears - run, run, run, run. Cold weather. Time to play smash mouth defense. Control the ball, win the game.

Vs. Phil - see above

Vs. Indy - run, run, run, run, run. One do the worst run defenses in the league. Force them to stack 8 in the box. TOP critical.

Vs. Wash - run, run, run. Then lots of play action. Just beat them for crying out loud.

I was playing around with the playoff generator and if we lose to the Giants, we are really screwed in the wildcard race................that loss to SF is just brutal since they are most likely a wildcard team with Arizona winning the division. Add to that Detroit, Green Bay, and Philly all with just 3 losses and San Fran and Seattle with 4 losses and you can see how us dropping to 7-4 with a loss to the Giants would be very troublesome.

If we lose to the Giants, we most likely have to win the East to make the playoffs.
