I'm part of the press. I went to the press junket in LA last week for the first screening and interviews with cast and crew. I then saw it locally here in Houston on Tuesday night. Here's a pic I took from my phone at the presser.

You must love your job. Awesome.

So give us your 1-10 (10 being best) take on Cavill as Superman. Does he bring the intensity as Christopher Reeves did? Thanxs.

I'm under an embargo and can't talk about the film in that sort of detail right now. All I'll say is that folks won't be disappointed! I'll post a link to my review on the 10th. :)

Really. I read another reviewer who said he still preferred Reeve's after seeing the Movie. Guess I'll give the nod to Reeve's by his account.

How about watch the movie and form your own opinion?

I just read an entire movie review and the guy didn't care about the embargo. I understand most here want to see it fresh. That's cool.

Again... watch the movie and form your OWN opinion.

Of if you like people forming your opinions for you... it is of my opinion that you should give me all your money.

Guess there's a new trailer out from Nokia? Odd but it looks pretty good.

I'm going to Vegas next weekend and I'm actually kind of wishing I wasn't because I know I'll have to hold off until Sunday afternoon.

The trailers for this movie have just been outstanding. Very well done.

Here's my MOS review. I loved it, but I know some won't and will nitpick it to death -- thus is the way of the Net today. >>> http://www.batman-on-film.com/on-film_review_MAN-OF-STEEL_byJett_6-10-13.html

My recommendation is to see it more than once as there's a lot to digest and take in. I saw it 3 times before finishing the review and picked up little things each viewing. I'd also see it in 2D -- IMAX 2D if possible -- and skip the 3D.

The review is spoiler-free, FYI.

As always, your reviews are a good read. I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie even more now.

You can count me as one who didn't love it. I have some criticisms, but won't nitpick it to death. I thought it was solid, but underwhelming. Better than IM3 was...but that wasn't that hard really.

I'll agree with you on 2 things brother...

1) It's better than IM3 -- didn't like it.

2) GO COWBOYS! :star:

Do you think MoS will go the way of Superman Returns in that the reviews started positively then tapered off due to word-of-mouth negativity?

I liked SR when I first saw it, but liked it less and less after further viewings.

This is a PG-13 movie but my 7 year old boy wants to see this. Any issues if I take him? The reviews I read are not definitive.

Some say PG-13 is appropriate some say it isn't that bad of a movie for kids.

Any thoughts?
