I like these moves. Callahan goes back to full time O Line where he is best, a playcaller comes in that meshes with Garret (in a way Callahan didn't), Marinelli takes over the defense and Kiffen stays in some kind of consigliere role.

Sounds to me like they wanted to elevate Marinelli but had to appease his loyalty to the old man. So they create some nonsense position like assistant head coach/defense.

sad thing is we are doing all this appeasing for coaches that won't be here a year from now. this franchise is a complete disaster.
