Nors touted Romo when most of the board was still all over Drew Henson's sack. Gotta give him props for that.

But I still think he is overreacting on this Amendola deal.

Thats because Nors was in a anyone but Hutch, Quincy, or Henson mode.

He just wanted to go against what he thought was Jerry choices.

Nothing instinctive about it. If you had been in camp he would have chosen you above them as well.

No, he didn't. He was a Drew Bledsoe guy through and through. He was anti-Henson, not pro-Romo. He disguises that well. If you go back to when Bledsoe was benched and go to forums where he was posting he was decidely NOT pro-Romo.

And? I touted Romo when we were still arguing Chad and Quincy, it's not like he was the first. Most rooted for Henson because it didn't look like Parcells was ever going to give Romo a shot and Henson had better pedigree.

while we're all bragging about our insight here, i just want it to be clear i was a henson dude all the way.

so there. some of us get it wrong a lot too. : )

Oh I agree, I rooted for Henson as well. Like I said, I didn't ever think Parcells would give Romo a chance because he kept bringing in guys and Romo was a gun slinger which appeared the exact opposite of what Bill preferred. I thought Henson had a chance to be something but he proved me wrong.

I did not care Romo or Henson I just wanted to see either one of them get time instead of watching Vinny throw week after week with no chance to go anywhere:eek:

I think that was the general concensus. We just wanted to spin that QB carousel faster in hopes of one of them fighting to not fall off.

And fallen flat on his face on more things. If you make bold assertions on things that are basically an either/or scenario, you're going to get some right and get some wrong.

I'll give Nors some credit. He was all over us drafting Romo. This was when he was posting on another message board as Norseaster and prior to him being banned from that board - I think. Though I agree he was a Bledsoe guy.

The only guy I saw who mentioned Tony Romo prior to that Draft was Cowboy Bob on the old DMN forums.

I will however give Ben_n_austin credit for being extremely Pro-Romo long before most were.

I had no clue that Norseaster was Nors. What the heck is a Nors/Norseaster?

I also thought we should have stuck with Bledsoe at the time as well.

On one hand you had a undrafted rookie leading your team or Drew Bledsoe who on his best days was a really good Quarterback.

I didn't realise Tony Romo was going to be the human cheat code that he is this quickly.

Bill played his cards perfectly though and knew if Romo could do what he does in practice in a game he was going to be tough to stop.

Hes so good that you know NFL defenses are trying to figure him out the best they can and they just cant do it.

it's usually a private religious ceremony where nors dresses up as a choclate bunny and plays leif garrett "i was made for dancing" while dancing around FATHEADs of parcells, law and bledsoe throwing out eggs he'll look for later in the evening.

after things calm down.

I used to read a lot of message boards back then. He would leave one and join another. Quite amusing really, though a nightmare for the mods.
