Marshall Faulk's night ruined?

Was it me, or did Marshall look really ticked off after the game? As soon as Rich Eisen hands Dallas an atta boy, Faulk throws in "Wait til next week" with a chuckle. Faulk really showed his bias toward the Saints.

He looks like someone tinkled in his corn flakes when Ware was sitting next to him.

Al last week he was talking about Romo not coming up big in a big game. "He's got to show me something" was what I believe he said. Well?

nothing.

I like Faulk, and think he's one of the best on NFL network, but that was really lame. I expected better.

Faulk has an agenda. What did Dallas do to him? It's not like the Rams and Cowboys were rivals during his playing days.

This game ruined more than Faulk's night.

Notice how quiet he was during the post game show?

But he had plenty of company. Woodson, Waddle, and Dukes all piled on the Cowboys this week.

But Faulk took the biggest hit. The way he was pimping his hometown was over the top.

Maybe it was the whole looking like an idiot after the "THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO WAY DALLAS WINS THIS GAME" rant in the pre-game and whatnot. I didn't feel good about the game, until I heard Faulk go on his Romo hating screed ... then I started feeling better about our chances with each word, because I knew he was angering the football Gods.

The whole NFLN crew not named Eisen and Mariucci is way over the top in their hatred of Romo.

When he said that before the game, I had a strange feeling that we were going to win. I thought all week that we'd have a chance, because we've been in every single game this season in the fourth quarter, but I was more confident after he said that than I had been anytime before that. Like someone said on another board, it's like he was taunting the football gods.

Edit: And InmanRoshi just said it on this board. Hmm, maybe it's true.

The birthday is now complete. The Cowboys won. AS I PREDICTED they would. *Ahem* Sorry DaBoys4Life and people like chinch. I guess now, the Commanders are about to kill us and Philly is a much better team. ...... we haven't got a chance.

Sour grapes. It happens when you open your mouth and say that there is absolutely no way a team can possibly beat another team. More often than not making those kind of claims will comeback and haunt you.

I'm sure Michael Wilbon is somewhere crying right along with him though. He hates it when the Cowboys win.

If you watch the NFL network on a regular basis you can see it wasn't just tonight or the last few weeks. Faulk and Dukes have been anti Cowboys from the start of the season. They are both quick to jump on Dallas in general or Romo in particular when the Cowboys lose or Romo has a bad game. That really doesn't bother me. What agravates me is when, like tonight, they refuse to acknowledge a great performance by the team or Romo.

I will give some props to Michael Irvin though. On the NFL Network Pre Game show last week, Irvin said he didn't believe Dallas would beat San Diego but that they would go to New Orleans and beat the Saints the following week. He took a TON of **** from the Cowboy haters after that statement. I'll be watching closly to see what they have to say to him this week.

As I said in another thread, Faulk, Dukes and Woodson have a seething hatred of Romo. It goes way beyond just generic Cowboy hatin' ... it's something personal. I don't really know where it comes from, because Romo is the farthest thing from an unlikable person. Maybe it's because they constantly have Deion in their ears with his TO agenda sliming Romo. Then again, when I see Tony Dungy constantly going out of his way to insult Romo, a part of me thinks this is just a thing among African American coaches and players (professional athletes by rule are generally pretty stupid and under-educated people who have been coddled most of their lives at a young age).... they resent Romo because TO was ran out of Dallas for some sort of ridiculously perceived racial reasons.

In fairness, Dukes had been quite laudatory of the Cowboys prior to this season. They were his Super Bowl pick in 2007 and 2008.

I agree with you on Woodson and Faulk, however. They seem to harbor some type of resentment.
