That's just the thing. Tom Landry never did it. Jimmy Johnson did, and our coaches since haven't done it.

To me, it is classless.

Look at New Orleans. They have 45 points as of the middle of the 3rd quarter last night, and could have hung 70+ on the Cardinals.

Brees said it best, "We were just trying to get out of there healthy."

FTR, I did have a problem when Jimmy Johnson pulled the same thing...and yes, our players did get a lot of cheap shots in the early to mid 90's, and even the late 90's as a result.

Karma is a *****.

IMO, you hang 70. You score when you can, as often as you can. You keep the petal to the metal until the final gun sounds. You show no mercy. You show no remorse. You are getting paid millions to do so. If the other team gets butthurt...good. Maybe next time they will play better and the fans will get a better product.

No. Sportsmanship is respecting your opponent. Respecting the game. Its sad because people like you actually think that its alright to disrespect someone just because you can.

How old are you 13?

no you are wrong. true sportsmanship is giving it your all for the entire length of the contest....that is a true sign of respect to the game and the opponent. to show mercy, to call off the dogs prior to the end of the contest, is like spitting in the face or slapping the face of the opponent.

I would rather get beatdown 60-0 and know the opponent never let up, than to get beat 40-0 and know they showed us mercy.

Im not sure if some of you people that think its ok really understand that the play they ran at the point that they ran it is why its classless. A play action pass on 4th and 2 in that situation is almost like kicking an onside kick at the same point in the game. It is a form of a trick play designed to fool the defense.

Would an onside kick get you upset with less than 2 minutes to go up by almost 30 points? Is there really a point where you would feel disrespected?
It wasnt like they were running the ball and the back just broke a tackle. It was a trick play that just ran the score up. It was classless and should be viewed as such.

I hope they meet the same fate against the saints next week.

That's a "unique" definition of sportsmanship.

This ain't T-Ball. The Cowboys need to get their pants off the ground and go back up there next season and lay a shallacking on the Vikings.

No you are wrong. It was a play action pass on 4th and 2. That is a form of a trick play designed to fool the defense and catch them off guard. That isnt sportsmanship. And by your definition the Saints showed bad sportsmanship by calling off the dogs against the Cards? You obviously dont understand sportsmanship. Maybe the vikings should have kicked the onside kick after the score? Or used their timeouts when we got the ball back so they could get one more chance to score again. Maybe they had a flea flicker they wanted to use. Get real.

It was a cheap play-call no question, and a slap in the face. We had tapped out and they kept the choke hold on.

We'll make 'em pay next year.

I dont care if it was the statue of liberty, a flea flicker, a double reverse, or the annexation of puerto rico. the fact is, if dallas didnt want to be scored on, they should have stopped minnesota from scoring.

if it were the other way around, you wouldnt be so angry. you would be so happy that the Boys rubbed Favre and the Vikings noses in it.

Wade wouldnt do that, and you know he wouldnt. He had a chance to rub the Eagles noses in it the last game of the season. He diddnt, he had class.
