Agreed on "Gotham". Really good show. Also enjoying "Flash". Still enjoying "Marvel Agents of SHIELD" as well. "Arrow" is pretty much the one I have not seen.

I have to check out flash. I enjoyed the corny 90s tv show. lol

Captain Marvel will debut May 4, 2018. Although the character has had many incarnations in the Marvel comic book world, on screen she will be Carol Danvers.
sigh. Old fogeys like me still remember the original Cap...

Still one of the best superhero uniforms ever drawn. I wonder if Carol will wear/own the cosmic Nega-Bands at least?

I'm curious as to how exactly they'll handle her origin.

The original version opens up all of that Kree/Skrull cosmic wars stuff...

2020
Cyborg and Green Lantern
< Please keep Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively as far away from this movie as humanly possible. Do not even allow them cameo appearances. Amen. >

If he's young enough, I hope Mark Strong has another opportunity to play Sinestro. He nailed the character in my opinion.

Good question. Perhaps The Guardians' cosmic storyline will tie Earth's Danvers with the Kree Empire. Maybe another UFO abduction, sans Star-Lord?

Yes.

But it's Captain Marvel with lipstick. Can't believe people can't create original women superheroes. We also have SheHulk, Spiderwoman, etc. I heard the new Batman-Superman movie is gonna have a female Robin.
You're correct about new character development. I think Marvel and DC have always largely taken the overtly safe approach with some female characters, hoping to bleed popularity from similar male characters. It's kind of weird because there have been some very original bold female characters created, like Storm and Rogue for instance.

PS: For anyone who has never read the books, please note that my respect for Rogue is from the comics version. Trust me. The character of Rogue is NOTHING like the Bryan Singer/Anna Paquin wimp from the X-Men movies.

I have said it for years. That would be perfect typecasting for Reynolds. I would not be surprised if he would eventually enjoy a somewhat Robert Downey Jr. type movie fan popularity playing the character.

LOL! Someone else is showing their age. Glad there are folks who remember the 70's shows like me. I doubt many people have seen or recall seeing Patrick Duffy in that role. :p

I've got Gotham on the DVR but haven't gotten around to watching the episodes yet. SHIELD is the best comics to television show in my opinion (so far). I like Arrow and have given it several looks, but it just has not hooked me yet. How is the actress playing Amanda Waller in the show? I love how they are illustrating Barry's powers on The Flash. Not too much slow motion mixed in with the speed, but enough to really appreciate his abilities. His rescue of the passengers from the train as it was in the act of derailing was awesome.

Who knows?

When Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch aren't mutants, but get their powers from Loki's glowstick, anything can happen!

Yep.

Best thing about an otherwise forgettable film.

I wonder how much of the decision to present Pietro and Wanda as non-mutants had to do with 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios respective copyright control? It is strange for me seeing a young Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past and a (seemingly) more mature Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron. It really eats at my internal sense of overall continuity.

To be honest, I watched The Incredible Hulk because of Bill Bixby. I still consider him the best Banner, even with Mark Ruffalo rendition. Seeing the Hulk strain lifting cars was just too much for my mind to take. :)

Lynda Carter. me wowwow. :D

Oh, it had everything to do with it. Marvel is none too happy with Fox retaining cinematic control of their characters. They want to be able to play with all of their 'toys'.

As a matter of fact, there are rumors that they're shutting down the Fantastic Four comic due in part to not having the rights to the characters and being upset with how Fox plans to present them in the upcoming film.

I truly think that the Inhumans are getting the push they are as a result of Fox owning the X-Men rights and Marvel seeking an alternative group.

I clearly remember the days when Marvel put an "X" on anything and everything they could. While I read my Avengers/West Coast Avengers comics and shook my head.
