I'm surprised that he hasn't been picked up by someone. He doesn't have much gas left in the tank but I think he'd be a valuable addition to a team that has a young WR core with lots of potential.

Now if only there was a team with those circumstances...

;)

Like I said, he doesn't have much gas left. But who from the available WRs in free agency would you rather have to groom Austin, Hurd, RW11, Crayton, etc?

There's only 3 wideouts who have accumulated more receiving yards than him, Jerry Rice (obviously), Isaac Bruce (currently with the 49ers), and Mr. Raider Tim Brown (retired).

The only drawback I can think of is that I don't think Harrison is the kind of guy who would groom players. He seems very quiet, but jeez if you could get the guy to talk, his words would be gold to our WRs.

If he was willing to sign for pennies and be a positive mentor for the young guys, I'd say, "Sure, let's bring him into camp and find out up close if he is truly done... if he is done, cut him before the Week 1."

But he rejected the opportunity to stay in Indianapolis for less money. So I don't see him signing anywhere for less than he thinks he's worth.

Isn't Harrison in trouble with the law? I lost track of that, sorry!

Remember Terry Glenn? Not the exact same set of circumstances, but the demand for Harrison's services are very similar.

No. We might have a diamond in the rough that he would replace.

No one has picked him up because he retired.

You're telling me that teams don't sign guys who aren't playing anymore?

I didn't realize he had retired. Good for him. I knew deep down he was done, but hell hire him as a WR assistant or something
