Well, did you see the Giants game? You don't win many games throwing 3 picks.

well while I agree with you 100%, it was his first game in as starter after only being here for 2 weeks learning this offense.

What I am saying is we are not gonna win games by hamstringing the QB period. If you don't trust him, don't play him. and no, don't put weeden back in there either :) That was weeden's natural tendency.

That duck he threw to a wide-open Williams in the Giants game is not "taking chances." It is simply throwing a ball up in the air and hoping. That ball was not only a dying duck, it was incredibly late and should never have been thrown to begin with. If you really look at the tape, this guy isn't being more aggressive with his down-the-field throws, he's just being incredibly careless. He is pretending to be more aggressive. But he ain't seeing ****.

points still the same, the coaching staff made him Weeden. They should let him play deeper than 10 yards. If we lose in the air, then so be it, but it won't be because we let them win which is what Weeden's game is throwing ducks all game long with those 5 or 6 yard throws. Atleast Cassel has the excuse of it being his first game in against the Giants.

Here is my guarantee (short of injury): Cassel starts the next two games. So let him play his game and stop tying him down with the failed philosophy of the west coast offense.

Odd man out, I don't think he has been. He wasn't here long before having to play. He's not playing with stellar RBs or WRs. Yes McFadden has had a couple decent games but partly because Cassel does make defenses back off a bit. Dez wasn't going to light the world on fire his first game back either.
Looking forward to tonight's game. Another week of practice with Dez couldn't be hurting Cassel.

I had the feeling that Garrett would have stayed with Weed but felt pressure from the front office to make the change.

As bad as Weed performed, they were very close to winning the Falcons and Saints games. If the defense and running game could have performed in those games like they have the past couple of weeks, the Cowboys would have won.

Our OC isn't getting the best from Cassel. Need to give him some easy reads and throws like we will definitely see from Bradford tonight.

So Blaine Gabbert comes back from Bolivian to beat the big bad Falcons without his starting RB, backup RB and rookie RB plus his TE was traded and his top WR is contributing nothing. WOW.

Maybe we are cursed.

Dez Bryant bailed out Cassel with that incredible Hail Mary TD catch. But in reality, Cassel can't even win a game with Dez Bryant in the lineup.

He played well enough for the team to win tonight. Even with that stare down pick 6, he did enough for a W

I disagree. Cassel got lucky with the 80-yd kickoff return and Bryant's incredible catch. Without either of those the Eagles win in regulation.

QB's get lucky every once in a while. I mean, hasn't Romo been bailed out before from Dez?

Both teams got lucky breaks. The fact is Cassel played well enough to win that game. The defense mailed it in when the game counted, as usual.

Even before tonight, I'm perfectly content with Cassel as our veteran backup QB moving forward. We still need a talented young player drafted, but Cassel is much closer to the Kitna/Orton mold -- which I was entirely content with -- than Brandon Weeden ever was.

Good enough to win doesn't include a killer Pick6

I can't believe ppl are even fixing their minds to cast any blame on Cassell. Dude had a pick six. Ok. But, without many of his clutch throws tonight, we aren't even going to OT.

This blame, once again, rests squarely on the shoulders of our gutless defense and the coahing staff. This team is ill prepared to play 60 minutes of football. The gameplan is basic. No ability to flex on the fly. Nothing. If things start to go south, they retreat into 'play not to lose" mode. Just pathetic.
