Looks like he and Lee can form a LLC or something. Lucky guys to have made it this far, but time for us to move on.

I can't argue that it's just about time to move on in Matt's case but not yet for Lee, who will surely get another shot at good health. One has never been a factor in any way while the other has and is guaranteed another shot. Are both unfortunate? Very much so.

I agree but given the fact Dallas nor any team has to make cuts just yet I would think they will take a wait and see on Johnson until that time.

What's it going to be then, eh?

He's Justin Beriault all over again. Was supposed to be the next Darren Woodson.....only to get injured and never take the field.

The difference with Beriault is that he was cut after one camp, not three.

I'm happy for him. He gets to pretend he had the talent but just couldn't stay healthy.

Whoever pushed for that pick should have been fired for it.

It's worked out almost perfectly for you to, when you think about it. You can go on pretending publicly that you're positive he didn't have the talent, when you really don't know that anymore than anyone else here. The meme continues with no proof whatsoever.

At some point you have to move on. Three consecutive seasons.

I guess if he goes on IR again and doesn't waste a roster spot we can see what happens next camp...lol.

No this has gone on long enough, i was rooting for dude, but i know when to throw a towel in.

Just like T.New.....you have to know when to move on.

I wish the best for him but has been dealing with hamstring injury each year. For his sake I hope this is minor and he can get going this week at practice. Cowboys do not have to make any cuts as of now so there is no need to cut him just yet but if this injury lingers then I think Dallas should move on.

I agree. I think he won't make it past the first round of cuts if he is still hurt.

My hope is this is not something they will keep him out but if it is then I agree with others that they need to move on.

I think this offseason he'll be cut if he can't stay healthy. While the Cowboys didn't invest in safeties high in last draft, they nabbed a couple guys that will give Johnson a run for his money, even if he was healthy.

Man, that dude needs to walk away from football. At least they can go forward with figuring out the real safety situation now that the inevitable has happened.

I've had an amazing streak of good luck.

There hasn't really been anything worse said about this guy. You're being overly sensitive either because you were one of the guys touting the guy or you have soft spot for adbutcher who is acting like he is his brother. I do remember a thread not long ago were many here railed on me because I said the guy wouldn't make it out of camp, and was a reach in the draft.

Reread the thread.

You know how to play the percentages very well. Just don't confuse that with talent evaluation.

Yes I do. I know when a guy doesn't have talent and should never have been drafted that the odds are he won't have much of a pro career.

If you ignore all of his misses, Risen's had a remarkable string of hits. Just ask him. He'll tell you.

I can vouch for Risen on this one. He was certain the moment the pick was made. He didn't even need to see the player or know anything about him at all. He just knew. Something about Jerry Jones.

I'm sorry I was right again and you have to fabricate misses that allegedly I have had.

I'm smart enough to know that stiffs like Phil Costa and Matt Johnson can't play.

It's time to move on from they guy. I feel for him but there is nothing he can do about this.

Which, while we're at it, can we also cut the fans from the fan base who aren't helping us win Superbowls and don't seem to understand these guys don't try to be injured? I swear you'd think coming onto these forums that there are plenty of people out there who actually think you can do some something magical to keep yourself from getting injured. It simply doesn't work that way.

Yes I do. I know when a guy doesn't have talent and should never have been drafted that the odds are he won't have much of a pro career.

Yes, but here's the question you won't answer. How did you evaluate his talent? You have a secret pipeline to Eastern Washington game film? Talk to coaches? Opposing college players? Because he hadn't been on the practice field to Cowboys long enough for anybody to evaluate his talent.

Dude, you played the odds here. He wasn't on Kipers radar, or any of the draft gurus radar. That's it. Add to that that most fourth rounders don't even finish out their rookie contract and you made a good percentage call.

But that ain't talent evaluation. And since in two plus years you have yet to answer any questions about how you determined his talent, you never did it, did you?

But good call anyway. You played the odds well.
