Mavs vs Thunder in the Western Conference Finals?

Im worried about the Westbrook matchup for us. That one hurts us.

Luckily we have 3 7 footers behind whoever has to defend him.

Also OKC's offense is so whack. I don't think they have any set plays.

I think Dallas will just out execute them due to being more prepared/experienced and win this series in 5.

I have more reason to think this will happen but don't really want to go to in depth.

Dallas wins games 1,2,4,5

FYI, Kidd was guarding Kobe in the Lakers series. He did a really good job of it too.

Speed is what is Kidd's defensive weakness and a weakness for Dallas in general.

But like I said earlier... Having Haywood and Chandler is a really nice last line of defense.

I bet we see Stevenson and Brewer tag teaming Westbrook.

Come on, don't hold out on us.

Ibaka won't be as effective as a shot blocker because he will have to stick to Dirk like glue. If he creeps away from Dirk... Bucket.

Kidd veteran experience is going to be key for us because he will manage the game properly unlike Westbrook who for every good play he makes has 2 bad ones.

Durant scares me but Westbrook will do his best to not get him the rock.

The Thunder run no type of offense what so ever.

Chandler will actually be more effective in this series on the offensive side imo.

And I just love our bench. I've thought it was the best in the league all year.

Dallas has better defense and we have a better offense for playoff basketball.

Mavs in 5.

It's going to be a tough series, I see it going 6-7.

Not feeling a winner yet, want to see the match-ups(who guards Westbrook/Durant/Dirk).

Don't see a good match-up for Dal to guard Westbrook. I think OKC will use Thabo/Durant/Ibaka on Dirk. Dirk shoots over Thabo, can post Durant.

Marion on Durant? Don't like that much.

Oh, okay, Catch... I thought you were on Tim Donaghy's email list or something. :p:

I do think it's Mavs in 5 or 6. But I think OKC will have a good chance to win one of the first couple games in Dallas -- either the first one because the Mavs will be a little rusty, or the second one if the Mavs are still on fire and blow out the first game.

It does sound like Ben and Skin are acting like this will be a cakewalk. That always makes me nervous when the DFW media act like that for the Cowboys.

It will be a tough series ,definitely going to 6 or 7 games.

My wife picked up the Golden State Warriors last year as a pet team and she watched almost all of their games. The one thing I noticed about them is they don't play any planned offense. The whole idea for them was to just go down the court and shoot. (from anywhere!) It's like there is no team concept at all. I told my wife 100 times they needed to fire Keith Smart. That was the first thing they did when the season ended.

If they get a good coach, look out. They will be a good team.

OKC reminds me of of the 2002-2004 Mavericks with just a little bit better defense. They are a jump shooting team just like Dallas back in the day. Dallas I think has the better defense and more efficient offense. Dallas has averaged more assists per game, less turnovers per game, and a higher FG percentage. Gasol ate up Perkins on the glass this series. If it wasn't for Collinson and Westbrook, the rebound advantage would have been enourmous. Which is why I think Chandler and even Haywood could have a big series. Should be a good series.

Love that this series is actually going to happen, and I love all the analysis from everyone so far.

I'm gonna be a homer and say OKC in 6. But I wouldn't be surprised and see either team win it. Either way, I think it's going 6-7 games.

I'm thrilled it happened. Obviously being from Oklahoma, and living a mere hour south of the Ford Center, I'm thrilled to see the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.

Kobe isnt particuarly quick anymore, either. Bryant loves the post up turnaround 15-18 footer, and Kidd is a big strong guard capable of guarding a player like that. Russell Westbrook is much quicker than Kobe ever was, even in his prime. He'll blow right by Kidd like Paul and Parker have done the last few postseasons.

Thunder will run the Mavs out of the building. But don't count out the Griz.
Just thought I would BUMP this quote. :D

Duncan Oklahoma baby. Yall still got a Little Caesars?

My question is this: Do they still fly between OKC and Dallas for this? Seriously is that like a 15 minute plane ride? I would think spending the time on a bus as a team would actually benefit the teams getting into it.

I'll be shocked if Kidd guards Westbrook.
