Pickens is a head case. But if you are going to make the mistake of sticking with Dak, you have to do something to overcome his brain farts under pressure, and the only option I can think of is a big talented WR where Dak can just heave it and the WR will bail him out.

Pickens is a good WR. Crosby is an great player.

Huh? Pickens is ranked top 3 WR in the entire NFL for yards and touchdowns. Crosby is not top 10 in sacks or any other major metrics.

Not really. Dak needs to have two elite wide receivers for him to be a good quarterback. Dak performed better this year.

Pickens. we need to maintain the high power in this offense AND improve our defense greatly. That does not happen without a WR on the caliber of Pickens opposite Lamb. Jerry is just going to have to suck it up, find some money and do it.

If he didn't have the balls to go after Derrick Henry, how is he going to grow a pair to get Crosby or any other big name FA with his draft picks?

He's not going to. He wont get in a bidding war, he's looking for a bargain and even he can see the holes throughout the Defense. He'll do, as he normally does: patch the holes with lottery tickets and hold some CAP back for the trade deadline to replace the projects that fail.

Dallas just gave up a 1st for Williams. I doubt they are going to give up another first for Crosby.
If they want a legit pass rusher on the edge, wake up for day 1 of free agency and sign Hendrickson.

I don't think this team is fixed in any way with just removing Eberflus.

There is way more issues witht his team than just the defensive coordinator.

I'm saying that it's an instant improvement is a better word, when he's gone ,and you have somebody worth their salt, They have defenses that are multiples and that can work with just about any roster and that can put together any scheme that would be nice because that alone yes would be an instant improvement..

IE nolan to DQ....

I mean we don't have to worry about this, first of all we need to see him get fired, then we could talk about replacements ,

but we have a full offseason to try to get this right, you act like we just started game one again we haven't, this is going to be a long offseason with a lot of decisions to be made, mostly on that side of the ball,

Some are intimating they see some changes with Jerry,

and maybe this activity we saw this year continues, maybe he stays with his foot slightly on the pedal, we know he's not going to go all crazy, all in, but maybe, just maybe he sees the error in the imbalance on this team between offense and defense and tries to remedy it as quick and surgical as possible.

working with a limited roster and a limited cap space regardless of what people say that there is no such thing as cap, there is a cap, they still have to figure out who to keep who to get rid of, how much they can pay free agents ,and the draft ,and they have a whole bunch of decisions to make on important pieces..


Ill Finish with what I said,

yes replacing Matt EberPOO would be an instant improvement on this defense alone,

then we can move forward,

because if Jerry doesn't fire Matt, then everything, I just said I'm throwing out and changing my mind ,I have a right to change my mind we'll see if Jerry has changed, because he can't allow Matt to go in his office on Black Monday, and talk his way back onto this team..

I'm hoping Brian Schottenheimer and Prescott has earned enough Respect from Jerry, that if they come in there and demand he be gone, that he's gone, they can just say we're not playing for a Cowboys team with that guy on the other side,

it just look around Jerry look at some of these teams I mean Brian Schottenheimer gets enough Flack for not scoring enough and keeping the pressure on in the second half and I watch other teams, I mean look at the Eagles last night struggled to even move the ball in the second half, and yet won the game because of their defense..

I see teams like the Texans holding the team that we played down enough that they pretty much had the same amount of points like 17 points going into the fourth quarter ,that we had against that same team, meaning our offense was doing pretty well if you look at the comps, but their defense only gave up what 10 points, there was the difference in the games, the Cowboys would absolutely be a playoff team and actually pretty solid contender, not a top contender, if they even had a 16th ranked defense..



Jerry needs to see that for sure, But who he brings in and who he keeps all this to keep in line with this thread..

I still say that we may not have either one of these two guys we're talking about and that's OK with me long as they make the right moves if they use the possible first round pick you can get from trading Pickens and all that extra money to go after better free agents to build the defense quicker it doesn't need to be all in one player like Max Crosby we need to spread this out it needs to be fixed quick and that's not going to happen by doing what fans think they need to do by playing fantasy football and keeping everyone like it's some kind of Madden team were putting together here it's not.

I will not blame Jerry for not keeping George Pickens or going after Max Crosby but he needs to at least utilize those decisions in the best possible way....


It will definitely be a very interesting offseason. It just needs to start with firing Matt EberPOO if that doesn't happen II don't even know if I will have any words and that will be a shock to every one of you..
