What a nube.

The constant attempt to paint the Cowboys as laughing stock by the NFL network is really over the top.

Constantly referring to the Cowboys as the "circus"? The circus that almost swept their division last year?

I can't believe they actually think Dallas will draft a small QB, undermining an existing QB that will count 32 million against the cap if he gets replaced. Even with the ideal defensive tackle falling into theirlap.

Mayock, Kyper, what a bunch of idiots.

Well a Earlier in the day, they speculated what Dallas would do, the entire NFL network staff said try wouldn't draft him. Including the former Buc coach.

How much more do you know than they do? Come on bro. If he's there at 16 obviously Jerry will contemplate it whether people like it or not. You and others will be pulling for him when he's drafted the same way as any other player we draft. But I could be wrong too, obviously. Go Cowboys.

Does anyone really believe a businessman like Jerry would undermine his own 100 million dollar investment in Romo ? Even though the best DT, taylor made for the defense you run falling into you lap? Jerry may be a lot of things, but he's not an idiot. I could see a WR or a Olineman 16 if the defense guys are gone. But come on...

The cowboys are a circus
Jerry is the ringmaster and Garrett is the clown
That is exactly how Jerry wants it BTW

Most objective people can see that clearly
Denying it will not make it less true

Get used to it

I agree Donald would be the smarter pick. If he's also there at 16 that would be a huge Jerry dilemma. If Donald was gone and Johnny was there I would still say Johnny would be the pick. Am I stupid? Yeah probably.

Actually Mayock was comparing the circus of Tebow to the circus of Manziel. That is the context I heard.

You guys seem to think Jerry steps in and goes against all his coaches and scouts to make draft picks.
He has not done that once in the Garrett era.

His wild actions usually show up via trades and free agent signings.

I am objective.

Without the injuries, which don't seem to mean much to some people, the Cowboys were a 10-6 team easy.

They finally seem to have a handle on the offensive line. Replacing an old slow line Garrett inherited. Building a cohesive young line isn't that easy. Watch where the Giants go now that their line is in the same position the Cowboys were three years ago.

They got their running game going. Their near the top of the league in scoring. But they aren't good enough when your defense rotates in ice cream men and insurance salesmen on sunday. I'm sure that's Garrett's fault to.

Any team needs a little luck and a lot of health. Hopefully they kick the injury bug this year.

Other objective people can see that clearly.
Wanting it to be different doesn't make it less true.

How do you know this exactly? So Jerry had zero input on trading up for Claiborne?

Out of many dozens of draft analysts, Mayock has been the very best at final mock drafts over the last two years.
He gets about 25-26 right out of 32... Which is crazy.
This is for sure one of his misses tomorrow.

The opposite.

I'm saying,if the board is a certain way and the pick comes up, then they mainly go with board.

But when trades are involved,Jerry is center stage.

I'm sure When they moved up to get Claiborne, he was at the top of their board at the time.
Not saying I agreed with the trade at all,but they didn't violate their board.

But if Donald is top on their board and both he and JM happen to be there at 16, Jerry is not going to tell everyone to screw themselves. If they are rated the same, well, he gets final say.

Yes. Because drafting Manziel is most assuredly NOT going to lose Jerry Jones any money. In fact, I can all but guarantee just drafting JFB is going to light up the neon dollar signs in ATT Stadium. Jerry is a business man first and drafting Manziel would be a huge money gush and a tremendous cash cow. For the very reasons you stated, you are wrong. Manziel is absolutely in play if he falls to 16. To think otherwise is to be ignorant or delusional.

Let me just clarify. I am not predicting this will happen. I am simply stating that if all Jerry cares about is business interests, which you seem to be saying, then drafting Manziel is the best possible thing for him. This will still be an 8-8 team and the most profitable professional franchise in American professional sports. It will simply be that much more profitable.

We probably should say what it is for people who don't watch NFL Network ...... Mayock has the Cowboys picking Johnny Manziel at 16.

There is apparently a guy at NFL.com making the same prediction. As are the NFL reporters at the Minnesota Star-Tribune in their only mock draft.

It's kind of wild. After all, we have a "very young" quarterback. But I have to say, I'm intrigued.
