I am actually a PAC fan. But I think Mayweather takes it.

Want to do a sig bet? Lol

Never done one. I'll do it though. But if Fairweather gets the win, and it's even remotely controversial, ain't no way I'm doing it. Speaking of sigs, I need a new one. If I come up with something, ya think you could help me out? :)

You cannot make a bet with those conditions.....lol

With that said... Mayweather wins 8-10 rounds easy

Yeah... Tell me what sig you want....

Seems to me that HBO and Showtime both missed a fantastic chance to air a simulcast special with both guys signing the contract. They could have really built up an hour show, each from the perspective of "their" guy.

This will be anticlimactic. Mayweather dominates an uneventful unanimous decision. Winning at least 10 of the 12 rounds.

I never got the Pacquiao hype. This is a guy who struggles to beat Marquez. Mayweather treated Marquez like he didn't even belong in the ring with him. This isn't close.

Never been about Mayweather, & Pac Man making this happen.
It was about Golden Boy/Al Hayman Vs Top rank (secondary story :HBO vs Showtime.)... Each promotions, boxers rarely faced each other, and there was bad blood amongst the promotors....... Once Golden Boy, & Hayman split..... Hayman and Top Rank was ready to make money again... Not to mention, the fighters ppv numbers has been down..... last hurrah.(and possibly the only big money fight)
Always liked both fighters, the hype is whatever, I just watch them in the ring.... Mayweather defense is one of the best i've witnessed since Sweet Pea Whitaker. Pac offense is amazing, so he will put the pressure on, with his movement and speed... But he likes to come in with his head down... That could be a problem.... Money by decision for me, will be a very good fight, but it could have been a great fight 5 years ago... :/

Also, Mayweather has kept a lot fools on their feet over the last 5 years or so, Fools that he could have very easily KO'd.

It didn't happen earlier because Money was scared and kept fighting chumps to keep his unbeaten record. So yeah, it's a shame. We need another true champion to lift boxing from the ashes. We need another Mike Tyson or Oscar De La Hoya in the sport of boxing.

If it happens, it's only because someone located Floyd's testicles. He's been scared for years of this fight.

this is simply not true. see above

Agree on first part.

Disagree on second part. It's all about matchups. One guy beating another guy when the other guy had a hard time with same guy RARELY means anything.

Ask Tommy Hearns about Iran Barkley.

Yeah, styles make fights but tell me why Pacquiao's style will make a competitive fight with Mayweather? Since you agreed with the first part of my post, then you don't believe it will. So then I ask again, why the hype for this fight? He will dominate Pacquiao as he dominated Marquez.

Not true. While Mayweather is not afraid of anyone. He was concerned with a loss. As I said earlier.
The steroid nonsense like I said I think both are guilty.

He wasn't taking a chance on a loss unless it was a record breaking major payday. With a rematch ready and waiting.

Plus, he saw pacquiao get wrecked by Marquez so ...he feels like chance is less now

My examples are two unique ones. I didn't tie them together. You did.

Marquez fights have nothing to do with that I think Mayweather will win easily.
If neither ever fought Marquez my thoughts would be exactly the same.

I am not into the hype. Should have done in when they were younger. Pre steroids. As I said I believe both take them.

so it was about the money... which means it was promotions making decisions...
if the money was in favor of mayweather, especially at the top of his showtime contract... the fight would have happened, they would have negotiated around anything else.... but pac had some negotiating pull at the time... 50/50, 0r 40/60 with a large part of the ppv gate, and date and venue decisions... he doesn't have that anymore... maywether is at the end of his contract, two more fights... and the undercard will be provided by top rank... subtract golden boy, more money for the promoters, mayweather gets what he wants...

of course mayweather camp considered a loss last time, but these decisions were capitalist decisions... not the decisions put out there by the media.

Don't think mayweather controls everything... he's made a lot of money listening to Hayman, & Sheafer.... doesn't make sense not to now.

Mayweather controls EVERYTHING here. If he says no, all the aforementioned parties lose. Big time.
Pacquiao hasn't lost ANY negotiating power (as long as the fight is still a go) Marquez fight doesn't mean squat.

When you've been on record that Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao, you pretty much have to concoct some fantasy story when he does end up signing for the fight. Like, well...he's not scared now because he's older.

Complete and utter nonsense. Why the bleep would Floyd Mayweather be afraid of Manny Pacquiao? This is what I mean when I don't get the hype. What makes anyone think that Manny is a jump up in class for Floyd? Mayweather dominates fighters that have knocked out Pacquiao.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on that one (not unusual)... Hayman is the one who had floyd start the "Money Mayweather Promotions"
He also negotiated the move to showtime. Him and Sheafer took Stephen Espinoza away from Golden Boy, help put him in place at showtime with the intention of bringing over Golden Boy Fights, and Mayweather..... turned out spades... and its' not surprising that The break up between Hayman, Sheafer and Espinoza vs Golden Bow was bitter... Espinoza even calling De La Hoya "deceitful".

Say what you want, but if I'm a boxer who made millions listening to one man, lost millions listening to myself, than made it back listening to that man again..... My ears are open... Money Mayweather is a businessman, Hayman is an excellent businessman.... The decision of when, where, and how the fight was going down was the promoters... and Hayman had the most powerful chip mayweather.....

FyI, pac did lose his negotiating edge, getting his assets frozen in the Philippines to the tune of 75million, and low PPV numbers....
cat was looking for a payday.... no large ppv gate, and i think the final numbers are like 60/40 ... and he fit into mayweather date, with no dallas cowboys stadium.

I'm picking Manny in this boxing match. Floyd does struggle some against southpaws and Manny has more speed/power than they possessed.

Floyd will be favored and should, but I just feel Manny will take it.

Floyd has never struggled for long. A round or two here and there. He can adjust to any style... Southpaw or not.

It's gonna be a disappointment. Pacquiao and his speed will be negated because he won't be able to catch Mayweather with more than 1 or 2 punches AT MOST at a time,

Pacquiao will be embarrassed. 9 or 10 rounds go to Mayweather.
