Mazi looks good in practice. He holds up at point of attack. Clogs the middle. With front line LB's to clean up in the regular season, you will not be able to make such comments. The LB's and DB's last night are not your starters and were overruning the plays and not cleaning up as required.

I'm not buying that, because he's next to hankins who will be DOING HIS JOB, that's going to somehow make him better, or lining up next to OSA who was out there with him will make him better

I’m so glad I don’t have to go anywhere for comedy. I get enough of it right here!! Two preseason games in and we have a Zone expert predicting a bust of epical proportions. At a position where it takes considerable time and growth to even be able to review or examine how well a guy is doing and not doing.

He has one damn job, keep guys off the LBs. How would even the best analyst be able to determine if he’s doing a good job or not if our starting LBs haven’t seen one play during the first two preseason games.

Mazi has in my opinion looked awful in both preseason games. For all the touting his size, strength, and so on just dont see it here. He is pushed around willy nilly on the line and dont believe this is befitting a first round draft pick. I am predicting a bust of Taco proportions here. Just one of the worst pics in Cowboys history. And now with the possibility of Overshown being gone for the season a disastrous 2023 draft. We cannot get to the next level with misses like these and that has been the history in Dallas.

On the bench? Isn't that a little dramatic? Mazi will be a rotational guy while Hankins starts for now. Things will get better. But it will take some time.

The point is regardless, we have nothing for 2023 draft meaning no path to SB.

Schoonmaker looks like he can play, Deuce. Might be the only two guys we get anything out of this past draft. There is still things to be positive about. Tolbert coming on is very good news as well. Maybe Jabril Cox or Isiah Land can backfill the Overshown issue. Land has definitely shown flashes that you want to see from a Rookie.

That would be nice. But he's not a RB. I remember when we drafted him, saying don't expect much in the first year. We're talking preseason here. The more he sucks in preseason the quicker he'll develop.

I don't have the answers. I don't know why this is with DTs. But they are usually the ones that take the longest to come into their own.

It’s been two preseason games yet if he’s not on track for HOF is a “supreme disappointment”. Even worse, you’re calling it the greatest cowboy bust of all time.

He will get 15-20 snaps a game as a rotational piece. He will have some good plays he will have some bad plays and he will have some great reps and some terrible reps.

Just like any other NFL rookie.

Mazi's strength and push look fine.. stay with me here and this is the big point... He has to work on his technique.. I know its a shocker that a rookie needs to know more than "See ball get ball" when he comes into the NFL but amazingly enough the diference between NCAA blocking schemes and NFL's is huge. How many NCAA OG/C combo's do you think are around that have the talent to reach block Mazi? Kid's gonna be fine now he is learning how to read the tells of whats comming at him in the NFL.

I know dudes on here like to duck and dodge when confronted with logic. Here's logic. Let's say mazi is serviceable this year (like most first year dts). What is the plan moving forward? Is a team going to trade us a Jeffrey Simmons? Are we going to pay 50 mil to a Dalvin Tomlinson? Are we going to draft ANOTHER rookie dt and do this all over again?

I don't expect anyone to honestly answer because we all know the truth.
