McCarthy gives his Top 5 QB list

Dak isn't any more dedicated in his game any more than any other QB. To say that he is invested 24/7 is a massive over-exaggeration and a lie. No QB is that invested in the game, not Dak, Mahomes, Allen, none of them.
I mostly agree, but would say practically all professional quarterbacks, who were long-term starters, have a level of dedication that should not be easily questioned. NFL stands for 'Not For Long' for a reason.

Badmouthing Romo for his off-the-field antics which affected his on-the-field performance was different than Dak who fully dedicates himself to the game of football 24/7. You know this, so stop acting.
You act like you personally know Dak

"He dedicates himself to football 24-7"

Just because you dedicate yourself to worshipping Dak 24-7 doesn't mean he does the same. Guy has had a pretty well known nightlife for most of his career. You're either lying or willingly blind on this one

You trying to tell everyone to stop hating on Dak when you were that person when Romo was the QB isn't hypocrisy?

Delusion isn't a good trait to have.
Well, when he found out Romo liked women, it was over. dak still showed promise with his off-the-field fun with zeke up on the mountains.

Originally, I was going to comment further on your initial observation, but I have decided not to. This train of thought really intrigues me. Two final questions.

Like Romo, Prescott has suffered multiple season-ending injuries during the past five seasons. Prescott has entered the 2025 season in extremely good physical shape. However, injuries (despite what anyone would falsely claim otherwise) are a reality in sports--especially in football.

Would you label Prescott as 'injury-prone' at this time? Or would you apply the label onto him if he ever sustained another significant injury at some point in the future?
Sorry for intruding on your conversation. I just want to say Romo played hurt..a LOT. Playing hurt gets you more hurt.

Lotta fans say he was made of glass...but in reality he was a warrior exceptionally loyal. I also truly believe the refs allowed some serious beatings...along with our terrible o-line of course.

3.5 air yards per attempt in 2025.

Edit: completed air yards per attempt.
So 8th year Dak wasn't able to avoid leading the league in INTs when Moore ran the offense (despite missing almost 1/3 of the season). It was all Moores fault

But 2nd year player Rattler is able to take care of the ball in Moores system

Do not get me wrong. You can search and find many of my past comments concerning Romo and injuries. And the logical reasons why he sustained them. And how I disagree with how easily some fans and media alike apply the term 'injury-prone'.

The same real-life rational principle applies to all athletes in all sports. Unless an athlete has some form of bodily defect--for example, a decrease in bone density for skeletal impairments--all injuries are a matter of physics.

I have had others (both on and off the forum) disagree, but I do not live in fantasy land. All injuries happen for a reason. Practically all injuries are not due to the name of the athlete who gets hurt. And that includes names like Tony Romo and Dak Prescott.

You are obviously obsessed with Dak. I am not. I just hope he plays well for my team's sake.

I just answered your question. Very difficult for any NFL QB to have a lot of interceptions with those type of air yards.

I'm not obsessed with Dak. I am tired of him, and the non stop excuses and rationales offered on his behalf from his supporters

There are more posters "tired of him" on CZ than "excusers/rationalizers" at this point. Not sure why some of you get so worked up because there are some "supporters" on a Cowboys website.

I never quantified the # of his supporters. I don't care if there was only 3 of them. I said I'm tired of the non stop excuses and justifications from them

To wit, this conversation that you joined in on between me and yobwocs started because she made the statement that Dak had played great football every season since the ankle injury.

So I asked what about having an 86 passer rating last year and tearing his hamstring in half on a routine run? What about leading the league in INTs a few years ago despite missing almost 1/3 of the season?

So the excuse given for the INT leading season was Moore's play calling. Once Moore was gone and McCarthy was calling the plays Dak looked great, we were told

And then he looks awful last year before getting hurt, but this time McCarthy is the excuse. So he gets let go. Just like nearly every coach or OC or WR1 Dak has ever had. Its always their fault. Never Dak.

With the church of Dak crowd, it's never "Dak had a bad year" or "Dak made a mistake". It's always "this coach" or "that receiver"

As I said, non stop excuses and justifications.

It grew old years ago.
