Good gameplan against a good team. I'll take the road W (DUB) any day of the week. A 56 yard FG attempt is no different from GTL (GREG THEEEE LEG) than a 40 yard attempt. Enjoy the win you Negative Nancys! I know it's hard, but please try.

I doubt there are any coaches in the NFL that would settle for a 56 yard FG with 25 seconds and a timeout left however.

It was a weird sequence.

I think they expected that Pollard run to pick up more than 2-3 yards and then botched the follow-up decision because of that.

I won't complain because it worked...so if it works its a good job. But I don't advise playing like that.....

The issue I have though is they are aggressive all game and then want to tighten up at the end of the game. Its stupidity. McCarthy just needs to go back to who he was. This whole fake analytics guy he's trying to be is disgusting.

That clock management was absolutely horrendous. We literally just burnt off 33 seconds for no reason at all and settled for a 56 yard field goal to win it with a struggling kicker. Fat Mike is just flat out bad at end of game situations.

The staff obviously thought that run play was going to be a big gainer. I suppose that might be an example of MM’s “analytics” at work. Ok, so the run was busted and stuffed. What I don’t get is not calling a timeout and saving yourself some time to get closer. That’s my biggest pet peeve here. Granted, it worked and we won, so really it’s moot.

As to MM being an idiot. We could easily be 2-0 right now after opening up with both games on the road. We look demonstrably better than last year and we are just getting started. He’s fine with me at this point.
