McCarthy is Awful

The clock management was so bad that we either win or it goes to OT.

Didn't he ice his own kicker once?

No, what McCarthy did was worse. He wasted like 50 seconds and setup a 56 yard FG for a kicker going through issues. Garrett iced a pro bowl caliber kicker back then and the kick wasn’t 56 yards if I’m not mistaken.

Media better grill McCarthy for that bs. That was worse than some of Garrett’s terrible clock management

Yup, i haven't seen poorer clock management in a long time. Just a joke.

Settling for a 56 yarder...he is lucky.

Post game show Pittsburgh Mike said he “ couldn’t see the clock ⏰ “ yikes

Big Mike has a shocking lack of clock management skills for a long-time NFL head coach.

McCarhty's decision making will cost us games. He's been lucky in weeks 1 and 2 to get away with terrible decisions.

By the way how the refs were calling holding (especially recently with the run back) I can see why he didn’t want to run another play once in fg range knowing that Greg had the leg for it.

Good point lol.

We could still have ran another play BUT I just did a quick Google search for info on conversion rates for kickers on field goals 50 yards or longer. Since 2010 NFL kickers have hit 61.9% of those kicks. With that in mind maybe MM WAS playing the odds. If the run play gets stuffed then force SD to take a TO and then you run a play to get the ball closer. If they don’t take a TO then leave it to your kicker to win the game at the end with a 61.9% chance of success.

looking at it like that, there is method to the madness.

I'd preferred him to manage the clock better.

I was commenting on last week when the Cowboys played decently and everyone said a loss is a loss.

A win is a win.

I prefer perfect football, but well, I'll take what we get.

I mean no one plays perfect football, but we managed to get one play out the last 33 seconds of that game (outside of the fg).

tbh I have no idea why Pollard made the cut back inside, he should have bounced outside to the sideline

MM analytics is the biggest joke going. He

No, analytics are not a joke. They are the future of coaching.
