I just want to replicate 2016 that team was so much fun to watch The offensive line was so dominant and we could run the ball and keep our defense off the field.
Now watching this team win 12 games is like a horrible roller coaster ride that ends with it coming off the rails in the most embarrassing way at the last play of the year.

Need a much better oline and need a much better back then the old zeke.

But...points win games.

And...when you have a defense that was getting turnovers as much as ours was....less time on the filed means less turnovers.

You could argue about this forever with both sides having good points. I think, ultimately, I would side with Moore's high powered offense over a strict running game.

Just be situational about it. Read your defenses energy. If they need rest...run the ball for a few possessions to get their wind back.

I don't envy McCarthy in the least. Working behind this FO isn't exactly an ideal setup. Hopefully the draft and a veteran addition or two might serve to overcome what the draft can't resolve by itself. Several needed improvements to the OL, WR, CB and possibly LB and DT also. The challenges to be attended to would be tough to address to completion for any team. Let's hope this team will improve upon its past to do so. The FO should see fit to be far more proactive than they've been previously. It's high time for them to wake up to that. Let's wish them Godspeed in that endeavor.

Nobody put a gun to Mac Cheese's head to be HC.
The job description CAME COMPLETE with an inherited OC AND the meddlesome GM/Owner.

All the posts claiming Kellen was forced on him or he didn't know what he was getting into are lies and backtracking trying to suit some personal agenda for this coach.

It's ALL his now.

MM will see that you can't run the ball simply because you want to. I totally agree with keeping your own defense off the field- but you do that by getting first downs. Opposing defenses can stop the run if they want to, forcing you to pass. You move the ball by spreading out the defense with a credible downfield passing attack. This isn't the '60's. Balance is key. KM was not the problem.

Sounds good in theory, we will have to see how it works out though. This team was already #6 in the league in rush attempts, and while the oline isn’t bad they are not exactly the 2016 version.

um yes MM made KM aware of running more and using pollard more BUT its not how much you run its when you run and what run pays and payer packages are used and NOT abandoning the run
we were tops in the league in using teh run, run pass concept add in the pass plays was some crazy obvious route trees and how close they ran them tighter. you must appreciate the run game and a scheme the runs as well as yopu sachem the pas ie disguised formations and not a substtiton pattern that is kind of lie easy to read. Yup run zeke, run left, right, middle... go get some yards ..that was Moore yards are yards concepts..

Moore was solid to very good OC but was lacking the mentality to use run game as well as he called the pass game. it was truly expose against the best D and DLs. they easily shut the run down and made us one dimensional and Moore seemed to be ok with just a passing all game see 49ers and the routes in the pass game also head scratchers. just far too easy to figure out and stop.. we are not talking about night and day changes, just different approach to calling said pays and when to call them and how to approach each defense on how much to run vs throw. its will be subtle.

get more physical at LG get Steele back and in practice emphasize the physicality and make these payers aware that is what we will be more physical , run better not more.

Well he ain’t wrong. A good running game that controls the clock, and an efficient play action passing game— led to Prescott’s most effective times as a QB.

Not when the route trees are ridiculously predictive and the OC doesn't know how to maximize his talent. Plus, Dak ain't that guy to be dropping back 40-45 times.

Cooper Rush did an outstanding job filling in. But he's not leading us into the playoffs throwing for barely 100 yards per game.

There's a reason he spent most of his 6 year career on practice squads.
