I don't think he gets the Bears. I think he is clearly the second choice (if that), but maybe Johnson falls through.

Total dysfunction. After 5 years the front office still couldn't decide if they wanted him back. Then they decided they did but only at the last minute. Why wouldn't a coach or player wait till free agency especially knowing another team has big interest and you are likely landing a 5 year deal, probably earning more than your last contract. Why would anyone sign a short term deal here knowing the next 2 year are going to be really terrible, maybe longer.
