I think McCarthy is making it too easy for Jerry to hand the keys to his own grown guy Kellen Moore. It seems like ever week the decision becomes easier for Jerry.
Bottom line is Jerry loves his home grown guys. That's why Garrett was able to be a bad head coach for a decade. It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Jerry fire McCarthy if we do anything less than a Super Bowl win. Especially with McCarthy getting killed by fans and media every week for his bonehead decisions and clock management issues.
I'm not a McCarthy fan at all. I wouldn't mind seeing Moore take his job, because I don't believe in Mike. I believe the players are winning despite him and he is easily the weak link in the Moore-Quinn-McCarthy chain.
I'm going to agree with you here, brother. You're right, EVERY game. Calling a timeout to give the Patriots a shot before OT was stupid. They didn't take that shot for some reason but it was stupid. Run the clock down to 3 seconds then call a timeout. Even Romo was dumbfounded as to why he called a timeout there. And going for it on 4th and 1 on our 35 wasn't a great decision either. We didn't convert and they scored a few plays later. I know hindsight is always 20/20 but still.
Since I'm skeptical that he's a true fan of the team I'm thinking he wants to sabotage Dak by getting rid of Moore and keep Mike in hopes of the reason Dak is playing so good is because of Moore.
But, I'm worried that Moore might not be head coach material. Not all coordinators make good head coaches. But it's a risk I think we should take to keep him if he really wants to be a head coach.
