They have weaknesses but they are the classic team that literally has to just win one playoff game and everyone will be happy. They are not under any kind of pressure to beat us.
You're not wrong about that. I live in Michigan. They just won their first division title since 1993.

Their season is already made, no matter what happens from here on out. People around here acting like they won PowerBall this past Sunday when Detroit clinched.

He's not wrong. Can't afford to lose three games in a row leading up to the playoffs.

Lamb will probably have another big day at home. Detroit's pass D is slightly below average.

I'm having a hard time understanding how McCarthy would think facing Detroit at home is tougher than the SF and BUF games on the road.
Must be to motivate the players. If he really thinks they are a bigger challenge than the Whiners and Buffalo we are in trouble.

While in Dallas fans are acting like they are going to funeral Saturday because of the two recent loses.

This coming from a coach "basketball analogy" whose running up and down the court killing it- then goes into a four corner offense. McCarthy is the worst. Now he says he's impressed with Hunter. Last week it was Mazi.... God help us.....

Head Coach wants the team to play for the victory in case Dallas secures the division title - and get a higher seed than Detroit.
Cowboys win Saturday night completes an undefeated run at AT&T Stadium for the 2023 season - a very rare feat ( if it has ever happened before) in the previous 14 years since the first regular season game in 2009.
McCarthy wants that - plus a third consecutive 12-5 regular season.

That- combined with a 3rd straight playoff berth - will go a long way in restoring his stature as a very good head coach in the league for his career.

And how much more will that accomplishment mean when it is done on the night the Cowboys are (finally) inducting their Second Iconic NFL Head Coach into the Ring Of Honor?

If he could do some clapping and "How ya doin' guys" press conferences he might could win me over too. Lol

Miami was away, Detroit is a physical out-muscle team. Both can run. The three things we suck at. LOL

Two biggest games of the year. If we can’t win neither, don’t be surprised if one and done in the Tourney.

Why are the Cowboys criticized for strength of victory while the Lions get credit for beating absolutely no one? Everybody beats KC these days. The only other decent teams they played were Seattle and Baltimore and that didn't turn out so good. We wouldn't hear the last of it if we lost to Green Bay and Chicago in the same season.

The Cowboys need to win Saturday night. Period. Forget the narratives. Win the 15th straight home game on Jimmy Johnson Night. Let's Roll and Keep Rolling!

They are on a roll. I'm not so sure this game is overly important to them, so maybe they rest some dinged up players.

It’s always bothered me when we have these games that celebrate legends and the team loses. I hate to see these guys who won Super Bowla and get into the Hall of Fame watch a bad team performance on the day dedicated to their memory. I’m sure it doesn’t mean much to the young players, I doubt any of them ever saw the 90s Cowboys live but yes, hoping the curse is lifted and it’s a great game with Coach Johnson watching from above.

It's overblown. There we a total of like 7 pass plays during those quarters.
What? You realize CeeDee can run the ball too. He has 2 rushing TDs and averaging almost 10 ypc.

And he wasn't targeted enough for over half the game when the offense was struggling. Not even debatable. The 3 drives he was featured resulted in 2 TDs and Luepkes fumble at the 1.

You find a way to get your best playmaker the ball.
Overblown lol

McCarthy will cancel all his massage sessions this week and actually spend time preparing.

The Cowboys will win.

Then, he will go back to coasting. If they have an early playoff exit, he will tell us all to blame him.

Apologists will point out 3 years of playoffs, McCarthy gets another $7M next year.

It's Jason Garrett all over again.

I'm not sure about the biggest challenge but the Lions' offense is a different animal. The Eagles and 49ers have 2/3 explosive players but the Lions have a ton of very, very good offensive weapons and their OC uses every one of them.
Lions do not have more weapons than the 49ers
