During the press conference, McCarthy revealed that he had
lied to Jones during his interview about watching every
snap of the Cowboys' season
.

"I haven't watched every play of the season,"

McCarthy said.

"But you do what you gotta do, right?"
Said what he needed to say to get those puppet coach Yes Man retirement portfolio checks rolling in.

Definitely take him at his word.

LOL!

he gets paid more than most doctors.

I applaud his effort. Big Mike is not the problem.
I agree but there are a few on this forum who think that if McCarthy was gone that a certain player on this roster would be a first ballot HOF player,.

I bet no one ever thought they would see a thread titled McCarthy working overtime to turn it around after starting the season with a couple of blowout wins.

So blowing the dust off a 20 year old playbook and rolling it out there didn’t magically work?
did my eyes deceive me or were we giving up chunk yards all day on the ground and in the air? Hmm.I thought giving up over 6 yards a carry was bad.... Did we even have anyone at all covering the tight ends and receivers? Just askin. Where was Osa and Mazi? Gallimore? I think McCaffrey just gained another 7 yards as I type this...Kittle is probably wide open again on yet another blown coverage. DQ, u listening? Where u at dude? If that guy is a guru, I am the Pepperidge Farm guy. Makes sense, lets blame MM all of it on him. MAYBE the defense can actually stop getting dumb flags constantly and putting the offense in a bad way as well. To be clear, this was a flogging. We were beat down. We were tied to the whipping post and brutalized. We earned it. A massive failure from Jerry on down. No 1 person is to blame. It was shameful. Reality is this, we been this for the last 27 years, with rare exception. Glad MM is putting in the work. My question is, why wasn't he doing this already? This team is always a day late and a dollar short.

I never understood this with older head coaches, you're at the tail end of your career, and kinda grim but you're also at the tail end of life. I know money is not an issue, why wouldn't you spend that time with family?
He’s not even 60 yet ( will be soon) and he’s doing what he loves to do. It’s clearly not just about money seeing as he’s been well off for years.

This is his passion. I’m sure he loves his family immensely and makes time for them

Jerry must be putting heat on MM, but why isn't the heat on the players too? The tackles played poorly, the WR's were inconsistent, and the QB played below average.

Thanks for the post. All off season and now 5 games in he’s trying to fix it. Don’t worry I’m sure it’s a 24 hour buffet and massages. Is this supposed to make everyone feel better? I guess beating bottom feeders isn’t enough for Jerry anymore and the barn isn’t a option. This is really comical, can’t wait to see the new improvements maybe he will put in the rest of the offense that the team couldn’t learn yet. Only in Dallas.

I am having trouble finding all the McCheese groupies who said Moore was forced on him and how different and better the offense would be once McCarthy took over play calling...?
Where are they now?

Gosh forbid Quinn's group wasn't doing their share of heavy lifting the past 2 years as well. Last game not with standing.

Think about this:
Playcalling and Quarterback decision making.
We are sure headed in the right direction on those 2 counts now ain't we?
Those are pretty important to team success.

Lol
KM was just a scapegoat MM has to stand on his own stumps now

Ok. Changes to plays and formations needs to be practiced for a while for a team to all get it down. I see some missed timed routes and wrong routes ran. Not to mention Dak having to remember all the changes to plays. Unless it’s only 4 or 5 and we are going to run them all game. This could screw us up against chargers. But I hear chargers defense is really bad. And run play changes our O-Line (whom have only been on the field for one game) will have to get the blocking scheme down. But maybe we will start running behind Tyron and Tyler. He should try check downs or crossing routes with the TE where they cross right behind the defense line. Romo used that crossing route for a long time, he rolled out and ram across with him and hit him in the run.

Oh and he needs to tell Dak to tuck and run if nothings there. Or roll out early to buy time. And for sure use motion. It helps.

Remember the 60 minutes special he did where he spent the entire year he was jobless, studying football and preparing his "team" . All that preparation with no significant results
