Exhibit 2 - making 'man mountain' lose 20+LBs, only to find the problem was his slow reactions (and desire), not his size.
Exhibit 3 - when discussing our pick, the only other name that McClay brought up was Bergeron.....who ended up going 12 places lower (and another Guard taken before him).

There is no universe that Jerry is able to make those decisions in isolation.

Broaddus also frequently mentions that Jerry relies upon his 'advisors', chief of which is McClay who's been in the organisation for 23 years.

The truer reflection is that Jerry DOESNT CARE ABOUT DEFENSE and he assigns responsibilities....probably to DC and McClay (who previously scouted defensive backs).

GM don't rely on advisors like Jerry because GMs are watching football players and not Natural Gas, and other Billionaire wants.

GM's are afraid of losing their jobs. Their career depends on making good decisions.

Not so much with GM Jethro or anyone one else on his 25+ year leadership team.

McClay looks like he got the 2025 class right. Booker and EzE are already good starters, at two trench positions that normally start slow.

Even if the rest of the class does nothing (James and Blue are currently not inspiring confidence), two quality starters would be a solid haul.

Until we get a real GM, all the rest is small stuff.

It's so apparent and yet some fans are still suggesting the coaches and players are the problem or at fault. When you have a demented idiot and son at the top, the rest of the organization become paycheck players and coaches.

If you just look at the tenure of our leadership team, it speaks volumes. Zero accountability at the top of the organization.

How do we lose in the playoffs every yr because of the draft? Without those drafted players we don’t even make the playoffs. We lose in the playoffs because the FO doesn’t sign FAs to plug holes and push the team over the top.

The Cowboys have no plan which makes any move hard to grade hard based on any “normal” football criteria.

Jerry is so incompetent that you never know how it will fit together and if today’s plan will be the same as tomorrows plan.

So, I kinda devalue draft picks compared to some, particularly because we have drafted very poorly over the last few years.

So, is Q worth a 1st and a 2nd? Yeah, probably, because outside of Micah, we’ve been poor at drafting and the odds of us hitting on anything close to Q is a thousand to one.

We’ve pretty much failed on the last four drafts when reviewed in their entirety.

We’ve extended guys we never should have extended (Osa, Bland, Diggs, Ferguson)

Why? Because we can’t reliably draft.

I’m not going to go into all of this…. But Ferguson was a 4th round pick; Bland 5th.

Arguing about them being overpaid is one thing. But from a draft pick perspective, we absolutely hit on those picks.
