he was raised by a literal crackhead. he could be much, much worse.
is there a rule that players have to be "overly welcoming" in a tweet? what if he texted Zeke? Called him? getting even a little miffed at a TWEET that said nothing bad whatsoever is just stupid.

Not miffed at all. Whatever that means. Just pointing out that it was another stupid Dez move. At least the tweet sounded stupid. Maybe dumb@#$$ dez should get a brain and stop tweeting. But of course he is too stupid to do that.

Morris has guaranteed money and DMC doesn't

We don't need 3 similar RBs......DMC has to go in favor or Dunbar or Dunbar-type...

wasting 2m on DMC would be a terrible use of resources......Elliott is here for next 6 years.....

Disagree. McFadden is the more natural 3rd down/change of pace back. Morris is a better runner between the tackles but that's it. He also is not the kind of back who can produce with few touches. To me, Elliott phased out Morris not McFadden.

Here's the thing though. We've got Ezekiel Elliott now. We should be a one back offense and quit worrying about these ham and eggers. They can play a snap or two when Zeke needs a drink and a breather.

Elliot is a better receiver than Dunbar and a better runner than Murray IMO. No reason he shouldn't be getting most of the touches.

I agree with this and is a big reason I was not a McFadden fan coming out of college. He always had trouble breaking tackles and staying on his feet. This makes running between the tackles less fruitful for him. His biggest asset was his speed. In college everyone sucks so big holes were common and he had huge yardage. That isn't the case in the NFL. This is why I offered in another thread where someone wanted to trade to the 32nd pick and keep the 34th pick. I said maybe you can bundle Leary and Morris with a much lower pick to get there. (they were offering the 4th round pick)

Exactly....Morris is the pure back-up.....DMC is redundant and cutting him saves 2m...get a late draft pick or UDFA to change pace and play STs.....

I said the same thing, but I am really curious what Dunbar brings to the passing game. Last year before he got hurt, he was lighting it up as a receiver. Offense looked really good with Dunbar lining up as a wr. Other than that, fully agree. Just curious though

I think it would be stupid to get rid of Dunbar, he is an offensive weapon that can be utilized in many different ways. Oh, we need to open a roster spot? Good, cut Street or Butler -- Dunbar adds more value to this team than a couple of random receivers who barely see the field and see the ball even less. I hate backup WRs, they are so worthless.

"lets see what happens"

Does that sound like something you would say to really welcome the guy that was just drafted? McFadden was a perfect example of how you would say it.

That was an odd/ strange tweet.

I like the idea of McFadden playing a reserve role. He could be like Randle was a couple of years ago and that would obviously cut down the chances of him getting injured. I'm not saying he's the same back as he was 8 years ago but he's still got some left in the tank. You add Morris and that's a pretty good trio.

At least for this season, I see DMac & Morris having value in 2 back sets. With Zeke's blocking ability he could lead block for either or simply take the hand off himself. Defenses will have to scheme for that and that could also open up passing lanes; especially in the red zone.

Yup.

McFadden earned a 2nd year with Cowboys.

Who is the starter by the end of the year? I think it's 50-50.
