McFadden looked slow

The Bucs stacked the box and were showing blitz.

It was like watching the Eagles with the old Jim Johnson defense.

You're not going to be able to run against that very well unless you start to get some quick hitters. I thought Cassel and the receivers were clearly not on the same page in hitting those so the Bucs kept stacking the box, showing A-Gap blitzes and the running game never stood a chance.

I don't think the O-Line played bad at all, but the skill position players needed to do better.

It's not just arm tackles bringing him down, it's pinky tackles.

Seems top heavy with no balance.

I didn't get to see the game yesterday so I can't say he looked slow to me but....He has been getting more carries in back to back to back games than ever in his career. Sure it is taking a toll on him physically. Hopefully he has been taking care of his body and will be able to soldier through in the last half of the season. This is his last chance to show he can be a "bell cow" back.

DMC is a good runner, especially behind a top notch OL.

Having said that, he is past the point of his career where he is going to be gaining many yards after first contact.

He wasn't finishing runs the way I've seen him do in previous games.

If ever there was a time for Cassel to yell Kill, Kill, kill it was yesterday!

Tony would have been salivating. He would have checked out of most of those runs and made the Tampa defense pay.

I agree, you take an injury prone back who never had 25 carries and give him 30 plus all the blitz pickups which also take their toll on a running back.

It is sad that JG can never find a roll for fringe players to contribute. You saw it with MartyB and Harris. You see it with Escobar, CM and other players.

JG is not a coach, not even QB coach material.

He's simply a good leader -- GM/management guy.

The "best offensive line "in football should have been more of a factor.

He isn't slow. 30 carry games for a back with a lot of miles doesn't work for long.

He was dropping as soon as he felt a hand on him, like he was early in the season. Prior to this he was flghting for every yard, and the team was feeding of it. Very disappointed in him

he seems to run into people and fall down. i haven't been impressed with anything he has done this season.

Don't take this post as creating an excuse for the awful showing yesterday--just merely an observation.

McFadden looked slow to me yesterday. Anyone else think the same?

I saw a few plays where there was big open lanes on the outside and he seemed to miss big opportunities.
