McFadden > Randle

It isn't how it turns out. It is why the decision was made.

It was made to save salary cap space when we have plenty to spare.

Maybe that $42M that Philly offered had something to do with it. It a stupid offer and we did the right thing by not matching it.

These two shouldn't be mentioned in the same thread... I'm OK with Randle, but he is not even REMOTELY in the same class as McFadden when both are healthy...

If McFadden can stay healthy, he is an ELITE back...

McFadden is far from an "elite" back he was healthy last season and only averaged 3.4 a carry. The Raiders had 2 backs average more than McFadden. The Raiders wouldn't have dumped him and offered Murray more than Philly offered if he was an "elite" back. Most on this board don't think Murray was an "elite" back and he's a much better back than McFadden. Too many still see the same back that came out of Arkansas 7 years ago and was the 4th overall pick.

We'll find out this season if we did the right thing by not matching it. Everything will be determined by what Murray does for them and what his loss does to us.

But wouldn't it make more sense to wait and see? Because if the rbbc turns out to be a killer you and a lot of others are going to be looking really silly when you're so adamant that you know exactly how it's gonna turn out.

Everyone looks silly at the end of the season because everyone was wrong about something

lol.. I don't even know what to say to any of that.

I hope McFadden can stay healthy. Sometimes a change of scenery can do wonders for a player. Getting out of Oakland may do the trick for him and he may be able to show the elite ability Trickblue referenced. The great offensive line, Dez, Witten and #9 may make this the perfect fit. We'll see soon enough...

lol... Well.. I hope he can be comeback player of the year or something. I drafted him in my fantasy football league in the later rounds.

I took a late round chance on him too. Might get me some cheap PPR points. Can't pass that up.

I'm with you.

Murray would have put his head down and barreled into the first DB that came up to stop him at :04 (32 Exum? Tough to tell from the video). Whether he got through him or not is a matter of debate, but he would not have made the cut McFadden did IMO.

He would have stumbled forward, head first to the ground. That was Murray's trademark.

I think you gotta go McFadden unt he breaks down or gets injured . He's the better player.

That's the key McFadden staying healthy, this guy has homerun speed, hope he can help Dallas win it all... Dallas OL will open holes he never saw in Oakland.
