Like someone else said, the blocking was much better for McFadden. Randle had guys hitting him in the backfield.
Yeah, no, sorry. If you're going to be a starting RB you need to make something out of nothing, he did that last week when he reversed direction and picked up a few yards. It's what made our last RB, he's not allowed to be named here because members are really sensitive about it, productive in many situations. And then out of his six carries, one of those carries he ran straight into the back of our offensive lineman, when to the left of him was a nice sized hole that he could have fit through and picked up some decent yards making his night look far more impressive.
Randle simply just didn't capitalize on his chances this week like he did in the last game. I was critical of McFadden last week, so much so saying I would have rather have just let him walk, but he produced with the carries he got and him having holes has nothing to do with the speed he showed and the cuts he was making.
Take into account that Randle didn't look very good with his blitz pickup and you start to understand why McFadden will be the starter on opening day.
