Do I think it's the worst thing in the world? No. I think he was simply overcome with emotion and didn't filter his thoughts. He could have honored his grandmother without acting like a lunatic. He opened himself up to unnecessary criticism. He did compose himself when Deion told him to channel his energy, but for a second I thought he was going to go off on Deion.

I would love to see him go off on Deion.

He is a kid who has not learned how to act or talk on camera ........... does not mean he is a bad person ......... he will need to be trained to speak publicly .......... We are just spoiled by Dak and all the other character guys on this team.

Was I the only one cringing with McKinley walking around (with that pic of his grandmother) like he was going to kill someone after he got picked? Deion earned his paycheck last night trying to temper this dude down a few notches.
So 2 ways to look at it. If the Falcons can channel that chip on his shoulder to the field, he might be a lights out pick. On the other hand, I had visions of Greg Hardy lashing out on the sideline at coaches and players when confronted.
I don't know the whole story on this guy but it will be interesting to see how he does.

It was inappropriate. He could have honored the memory of his lost love one without looking like a damn nut in the process. He acted like he is mentally unstable and a future ticking time bomb. I would have been saying oh **** if I was the Falcons.

It's an indication of a personality disorder or something else. Neither are a good sign for the Falcons. Normal people don't act like that.

He kept saying she's beautiful man while walking down the stairs as if it was some battle cry. That's nuts. ******* nuts.

That "chip on the shoulder" crap is overrated. All these guys have chips on their shoulder in some respect. They just know how to contain it and channel it without acting like a fool.

Him losing his **** on TV in his first act as an NFL player is embarrassing to him and his team....at best.

That dude showed the whole world what an idiot he is, and they got a good look at a bust and full of off the field problems he will have in Hotlanta
Haha because he said the F bomb he will be a bust? He didn't have any off the field problems before this and don't see it an issue going forward. Quinn is a defensive mind and he will turn him into a pro bowler.

He's got a chip on his shoulder. Not an actual one like Anthony Brown though.

His father was never in his life and mom abandoned him at 5. His grandma raised him. Might be over the top for some, but can't blame him for being emotional after what he's been through.

It was weird emotion though, more like anger. Seemed contrived.

I would have loved the display. Love people that have that kind of passion

That wasn't passion, that was a lack of self-control. There is a significant difference.

It's not like this was some heat of the moment thing. This did not surprise him. He has known this was coming for a long while. Being emotional is one thing, being hysterical is another.

I swear some of the people on here want nothing but choir boys then when the team is full of choir boys, then they say the Cowboys need to get players with some fire. There is a lot of people on this board that have never come close to living the life or living near some of places these players live. So yeah it may have been over the top but that's nothing compared to what some of these kids saw and heard growing up everyday. Not everyone is going to come out and just be this super professional person after getting drafted.

Watching him on the red carpet I thought he was an impressive young man. His outburst doesn't tell the whole story though. Did some dick Eagles fan heckle him, or insulted his Grandmother? I'd support him for risking a fine just to tell off some rude person.
His pass rush moves though, need some moves..

I don't know about that. LOL. To say that his actions were strange and inappropriate are about as positive as one could reasonably interpret his actions. Do his actions remind you of something DeMarcus Ware would do? Probably not. Greg Hardy? Yeah, a lot more likely.

I am quite sure that DeMarcus Ware was just as excited to be drafted, but he didn't act like an idiot. People tell you who they are. You just have to believe him.

How in the world could what he did yesterday be deemed to be a reasonable response to one of the happiest days in his life? Have you ever seen anyone in the history of the draft act like that?

I wonder what the falcons thought about it?? lol after they just picked him.

You already know the answer to that. You could tell Deion was whispering in his ear after the interview to put a lid on it.

Ray Lewis didn't even act like that, and he was as fired up as they come.

I don't think it has anything to do with a lapse of control, or not knowing how to talk on camera. It wa all an act to get people to pay attention to him, and it worked.
