That looked like a locker room cancer with a multiple suspensions coming.

I was disappointed when his name was called, but then I was so thankful when I saw him bipolar all over himself.

That is hilarious! I was thinking the same thing. In all fairness, I would have been pretty pissed too if I had been carrying a giant painting around for 4 hours....so maybe he'll be ok

His grandmother looked like a classy church going lady. I doubt she would have been proud to see that. I am so glad he wasn't our pick.

I think he could have quieted him with a better question. "I know you're excited and your grandmother meant a lot to you. Tell me what your grandmother said to inspire you."
By asking the question that way, you make him subtly respond as his grandmother would have. And I can't imagine his grandmother was ranting and raving on her death bed.
The way Deion did it, he kind of chastised him. "I know you're hyped, but I want you to bring it down a little" or something he said to this effect. It just seem to me he was chastising him like a little kid.
But Deion isn't known for his interviewing skills and techniques so I guess I have to give him a slight pass. I still don't like how he interviews.
Well...I suppose I get your point to a degree and I also share your opinion that Deion's interviewing skills leave a bit to be desired (my biggest criticism is that I think he ends up much of the time making the interview about Deion in some form or fashion...e.g., what he did as a player or what he's wearing, etc.). But in that particular instance I actually felt he showed a ton of composure and was able to talk a spazzed out man child off the ledge. The dude was seriously unhinged in the moment and I think Deion assuming an authoritative, big brother role is what the circumstance called for. He was acting like a child and needed to be checked. Deion did it in a way that still preserved the kid's dignity. That's how I viewed it in any case.

Was I the only one cringing with McKinley walking around (with that pic of his grandmother) like he was going to kill someone after he got picked? Deion earned his paycheck last night trying to temper this dude down a few notches.
So 2 ways to look at it. If the Falcons can channel that chip on his shoulder to the field, he might be a lights out pick. On the other hand, I had visions of Greg Hardy lashing out on the sideline at coaches and players when confronted.
I don't know the whole story on this guy but it will be interesting to see how he does.

He sounded and looked like a complete idiot.... he completely embarrased his grandmother, rest her soul. 2 cent brain.

Haha because he said the F bomb he will be a bust? He didn't have any off the field problems before this and don't see it an issue going forward. Quinn is a defensive mind and he will turn him into a pro bowler.
no he will not be a probowler, he is an idiot and idiots do not become probowlers

I'm sure the falcons brass was not to pleased with his onstage antics....

I thought the Oline kid taking his baby out on stage was bad as he was slinging him around! My girlfriend was scared he was gonna drop him

He wasn't slinging him around. It was a great moment for him and his son.

That seems about right in all respects.

Time will tell if his outburst was an omen or nothing to be concerned about. As far as first impressions are concerned, I saw and felt a young man fulfill a lifelong dream and the deep love for someone who he could not share it with. Everyone is emotionally built differently. Extreme emotion can mean something detrimental. It can also mean honest passion. We'll see but it's not anything to prejudge him for at this stage. Unless you're a puritan. If so, nevermind.

I don't think you have to be puritanical to draw the conclusion that he is an idiot. I don't think you believing he isn't a wack job is any more compelling than someone else believing he is. Time will tell.

The fact he was carrying that portrait around for hours is enough to make a leap of faith to believe that he is halfway to the unstable nut house already.
